I remember being told I could never have someone who would love me openly & without restrictions, I remember crying at night about the way that was being conditioned to see my circumstance. I am a BLACK TRANS WOMAN, who in their right mind would ever want to build a life with me?
BLACK TRANS PEOPLE are tired of having to fight white supremacy and then turn around and fight black men 4 our right to live.

I’m taking up space?intersectionally! If we wait on y’all to see the problem with transphobia you’ll kill us faster than the police!
Trans Day of Remembrance is a day of reflection and remembrance, highlighting the tragic reality faced by the trans community, particularly black trans women. The reported statistic from Forbes, notes 320 deaths this year alone, serves as a reminder of the urgent need for action
A black

woman in Paris being loved on by a black man who will stop at nothing to protect her. Ha, somebody pitch me cause if it's a dream I wanna wake up before I invest anymore feelings.
And these are just the engagement photos still.
I've said it once and I'll say it again
@gabunion
and
@dwyanewade
are true pioneers when it comes to showcasing an understanding of parenting black queer children. I can only imagine where some of us would've been if ignorance wasn't running so rampant in our communities.
Dave Chapelle's recent Netflix special. I just wanted come and offer this up to people who don't understand, but genuinely want a different take as to why black trans women specifically are not finding the comedy and Mr. Chapelle's latest work of "art" funny.
Three years ago Nigel took his life due to the bullying he endured for simply not subscribing to the idea of the heteronormative ideas of black men that we've decided to conform to. Nigel didn't deserve to feel so alone that he felt his only option was to not be here.
Who would wanna share their most intimate moments with me?
I remember giving up on love. Believing that maybe everyone else was right. Maybe all I would be good for was a late-night therapy session & then YOU came along.
You fought against every wall I built to keep you away.
You asked the questions that mattered and challenged me in a way that made my mind soar beyond my own experience. You were there for me when I needed you most and allowed me to do the same.
All I've ever wanted was the license to create my own love story.
The green light to build my own family and the love to help sustain it all and YOU without a shadow of a doubt have given me that and so much more. Life is NOT. A fairy tale, but you remind me that my Cinderella story is far from unattainable. I LOVE YOU! With my entire soul,
Where does your “love” for black people stop? That’s a serious inquiry because if it’s at the feet of black lgbt folks I beg you stop perpetuating a false narrative around your views of “rooting for everybody black”.

A black trans girl has recently reached the age of 18 and bravely revealed her true identity to her brother. Shockingly, instead of accepting and supporting her, he responded with unfathomable violence, brutally beating her and even attempting to take her life.
Most trans women will never hear this so it’s amazing to see lil papi show his love for her on screen in an unapologetic way.

Thrilled to say that I’m the new President, Executive Director, and CEO of the National Trans Visibility March Huge thanks to Marissa Miller for this incredible opportunity. Excited to use my gifts to create safe spaces for the TGNC community. Grateful for the trust and support!
SOME black cis women will do and say micro-aggressive things like this and then ask black queer people why we never leave them out of conversations around homo/transphobia.
I did it! I became the first openly

to be invited to speak at
@NASAGoddard
and it was an amazing opportunity! I can't wait to see the rest of my folks create an impact in spaces both here and beyond.
Listen to this and be reminded that if your version of liberation for blacks doesn't include black queer folks it's TRASH!
@zayawade
never take for granted the path your parents have chosen to take to ensure u have a safe space in a world where so many others have been dismissed
Eradication won't stop at trans people and it won't start at white trans folks either. The saddest part is that I KNOW I can't count on most black folks to GAF what even more sinister is that THEY know it to and I scared. For me and my sisters, brothers, and siblings
I am filled with gratitude to receive the cultural influencer award from Speak Out! This recognition speaks to the importance of black trans visibility in our communities. Thank you for highlighting the work that I do as a black trans woman.
Oluwatoyin 'Toyin' Salau was a dedicated activist whose relentless efforts aimed to create a more just and equitable world. Her commitment to advocating for marginalized communities, particularly during the Black Lives Matter movement, left an indelible mark
Being Black, Trans, and a Woman I've realized that not everyone will clap for you, and sometimes you won't even know which part of your identity is preventing them from doing so. Instead, I've learned to just do the work and expect nothing, BUT MY CHECK!

It is important for gay men to not support transphobic rhetoric for the sake of cis-het approval because it perpetuates harm towards transgender individuals and reinforces the harmful societal norms that contribute to discrimination and oppression.
Barbie, who? I'm Black Trans Barbie, baby!
I'm loving every moment of this fictional promo shoot and feeling like a true diva. Who knew being a Barbie could be so much fun?
Representation matters, and I'm proud to be a part of a campaign that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
As a black trans activist, I'm outraged by recent actions in Florida. The Private Spaces Act and the bill to criminalize gender-affirming care for minors are attacks on our rights and dignity.

I couldn't sleep and after some searching here's what I found .black queer kids should be subjected to public humiliation due to homophobia especially when it leads to violence. Too many of us have suffered in silence and waited on 18 to save us.

Support for queer children in the black community is crucial for their well-being and sense of belonging. Many queer children face unique challenges, including discrimination, bullying, and rejection from their families and communities.

Trans people are one of the most marginalized and vulnerable communities worldwide, facing discrimination, harassment, and violence on a daily basis. Trans women, in particular, experience some of the highest rates of violence, including murder.
Random thought: In hindsight, The Wicked Witch of the West have EVERY reason to light Dorothy's ass up. How you gonna kill my sister and steal her red bottoms you hillbilly bitch?
While we think about what it means to be a woman, especially on International Women's Day, we have to think about what it means to be a woman on multiple fronts.
Today I spoke with an icon, about my truth and what it looks like to stand in that with grace.
@thesherylleeralph
thank you for your grace, class, and wisdom so excited for folks to see what you have coming next and I’m so grateful you’re letting me be part of it! 🌻
I'm a black trans woman, and I know firsthand that pretty privilege is a real thing in my case. People have treated me differently because of my appearance, and it's given me some advantages that I'm grateful for.
Do you realize how hard it would be to take “Cis” as a slur seriously?
Ex: You're so CIS
“Yea it's cause your cis”
“I mean cis people do that”
Some of y'all wanna be oppressed so bad you'll break your arm reaching for a struggle.
