7/n A precedere la #NATO fu infatti il trattato di Brussels (1948), del quale firmatari furono la Francia, il Regno Unito, Belgio, Lussemburgo e Paesi Bassi.( Niente USA). Il trattato presentava molte somiglianze con quello che sarebbe stato il successivo trattato di Washington.

24/n Sempre i paesi occidentali fecero entrare la Russia nel G8, nel WTO, si avviò una partneship anche con l'UE, insomma l'espansionismo ( se così si può definire, visto che i paesi entrano secondo la propria volontà) avvenne in un contesto di concordia e collaborazione
