Joe Gomez effectively a Milner replacement with the fact, that he can cover both fullback positions but instead of having midfield as his main position, he's a centre-back. Absolutely incredible for the club considering he's still only 26 and managed to get back after injuries.

Klopp & Lijnders brought Gakpo in to play as a double-threat LW that can finish off chances and create them as well (with potential to play elsewhere), but realized after 2 games that he's too slow to play as a winger in PL so started to make him into a false 9. Top profiling.

I think it's also worth noting that for example Elanga's shot is accounted in this, which is 0.44xG shot that was offside, those aren't taken out. Liverpool concede those dangerous situations quite often and sometimes they aren't pulled back....

Daily reminder that Fabinho was never nominated for Team of the Season neither in Premier League nor Champions League or FIFA TOTY while at LFC. He also somehow wasn't in the Ballon d'Or nomination list in 2019 (yet somehow Wijnaldum was). Criminally underrated.

It forced them to look for loan deals, asking around players like Arthur, Marcos Llorente, Denis Zakaria and whoever else. Then January comes, the club is able to spend money as always and Lijnders & Klopp decide to splash €40m on attacker. That's just stupid.

People spent the last few weeks saying Henderson's best position is as a no 6, guy is running around like a headless chicken never in correct position and not winning the ball or stopping attacks anywhere. He's finished.

In self prepared shooting positions he is someone who generates quite a lot of power and has fast and low trigger, though he can be wildly inconsistent with how he hits the ball in those scenarios - he can offer some threat from those longer range positions.
