. 2023 Dulles District Regular Season Champions ๐
For the first time in school history, the Heritage Pride Baseball team are the REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS! ๐
Heritage 6, Loudoun County 3 FINAL
Heritage finishes the regular season 14-6 overall and 12-2 in the Dulles District!
What a week. Another CG by a senior pitcher. Burgess with the shutout, using only 81 pitches to do it. Our offense was firing on all cylinders. 14 hits. Every starter had at least 1 hit. Galloway and Holland both with a ๐ฃ. This is an awesome group of young men.
Coach Orrell: One of the most talented players Iโve been around as a coach. Always willing to put in the work and play anywhere the team needed. He will leave his stamp on the program, finishing not even half a season shy of breaking most of our offensive records. Good luck!
Another hard fought win! 3-1 over the
#1
seed! Josh Rivera with the complete game, scattering 4 hits and striking out 9. We play for the championship tomorrow against Broad Run!
Tough 3-2 loss tonight to James Wood. Best of luck to our seniors and congratulations on a great season. You have left a legacy for our program to uphold. We couldnโt be more proud of everything youโve done and how youโve done it! ALL IN!!
@bazeballcoach
Coach Hopeck: One of the most hard working, driven young men I have ever met. Enrique was always willing to find any advantage he could get on the competition. His drive and consistency on the mound will be missed, but we are very excited for his next chapter down at Roanoke.
Congratulations to our Seniors on a much deserved victory. The Pride defeat the Captains on a wall off homer to lock up the 2 seed and finish 10-2 on the season. Great job!
@bazeballcoach
@HHSPrideSports
Coach Mason: โMember of the program for 4 years. Selected this season as a 1st year team captain for his leadership qualities. Anthony has one of the strongest and accurate outfield arms I have seen in a long time. Replacing his arm in the OF will be difficult next year.โ
Had a great time at our Red and Black game tonight despite the wind. The Black Team took the win but both teams played very well! Thanks for everyone who participated and thanks to all the parents who came out to support the boys.
Coach Orrell: One of the hardest working guys in the program and made a real impact this season with his hustle and attitude. He is willing to help the team in any way and is one of the best teammates we have. His versatility and willingness to adjust will be greatly missed.
The Pride move to 2-0 with a 4-0 win. Nick Harris goes the distance for the CG shutout. He scattered 3 hits over 7, striking out 7 and walking 1. Lee and Harrison have multi hit game.

Some of our juniors and seniors helped pack hundreds of meals today for Generosity Feeds. Those meals will go to Loudoun Hunger Relief and the Arlington Food Assistance Center and help those who suffer from food insecurity.
The assembly line was operating at maximum efficiency!
Congratulations to the members of our program who earned Dulles District honors!
-Aaron Van Tuyle (Sophomore): 1st Team Outfielder & 2nd Team Pitcher
-Alec Jones (Junior): 1st Team Third Baseman
-Mark Van Tuyle (Freshman): 2nd Team At-Large

Pride are back in the win column after defeating McBee(SC) 11-1 in 5 innings. Grant Barberich was outstanding allowing just 2 hits and 0 earned over 5. Big night at the plate for Barberich,

Some of our guys volunteered a couple hours of their time yesterday to ring the bell for the Salvation Army at the Compass Creek Walmart in Leesburg.
Great work, men!

Coach Edwards: Chase is a hard working young man who was a pleasure to be around. He is well respected by his teammates and coaches. The Heritage baseball family has been honored to have such a polite and hard working young man in the program. He will be greatly missed.
Coach Mason: He has been our catcher since being called up sophomore year. He has always demonstrated the ability to lead from behind the plate and this year was selected as a captain. I have watched a tremendous transformation in him for his last season. Good Luck at CCBC Essex.
Great team win tonight 7-3.

Coach Orrell: For the past 4 years we have been lucky to have D-Got in our dugout. Finding managers for a season is always hard, much less 4. We appreciate the dedication he has shown the program over the years and wish him the very best moving forward.
Coach Hopeck: We were excited to add him to the team this year. We were looking forward to unleashing his true potential on the mound. He is a teammate who leads by example. He was willing to contribute in any way to help our team succeed and I respect that. Best of luck at JMU.

Today we had four more of our players volunteer their time to ring the bell for the Salvation Army.
We had to set up indoors because of the extremely cold weather but these young men still did an amazing job collecting money for a great organization!

@HHSPrideSports
Pride go down 1-0 to
@DomHighBaseball
. Thanks to all the players and parents for a great year. This is a very special group of young men who will keep getting better. Thanks to our seniors for all you have done setting the tone for the program. You will be missed!
Coach Mason: Great Outfielder for us and played with tremendous speed and heart. Nick always have 100% for his teammates and coaches. Not a practice went by that he was not drenched in sweat. His attitude and work ethic will be missed next season.
@nicklampl

Great 8-4 win today over
@DomHighBaseball
. Harris with an excellent start, allowing 2 hits over 5 with 8 kโs. Rivera closes the door with 2ip, 0 hits and 5 kโs. This team picks each other up and continues to get better.
Coach Hopeck: Voted captain as a senior for the first time. He has been a staple for the Varsity team for 3 years. He is a cool, calm, and collected teammate who always shows up ready to work. His consistency will be missed in our lineup and we with him the best at USC.
Heartbreaking loss in extra innings.
We had a 1-0 lead heading into the 7th, but James Wood was able to scratch across a run that inning and in the 8th to secure the win.
Good luck to the Colonels the rest of the way!
We finish our incredible season with a record of 16-8.
๐จ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐บ๐๐๐ ๐๐! ๐ท๏ธ
He is a first-class player, student, and person who embodies hard work, determination, and attention to detail.
We couldnโt be prouder of this young man for what he has accomplished so far, or more excited for his future!
What a series! The Red Team wins the finale and takes the series. Hard fought 3 games all around. Saw a lot to be proud of and some things to work on. Never settle! We have a great group of guys! Thank you to the parents for our post game pot luck!
40 Heritage DECA members took a field trip to Nationals Park today for Opening Day, and it just so happens some of them are also baseball players!
Plus โ in the case of Coach Potts โ if youโre asked to chaperone a baseball game (especially Opening Day), can you really say no?
Itโs awesome to see how many students assisted with Unified Basketball, including six of our senior baseball players (Jack Holland, Luke Howard, Colin Shue, Jackson Sweeney, Landon Taylor, and Jack Tyree).
Great job to everyone involved in this event!
