Once the build was finally approved and playable, very positive reviews began coming in and it slowly began to counterbalance the game's overwhelmingly 1/10 score. Slowly I began to breathe again. Then a couple new sites ran stories about the mod, and everything exploded.

In those 3 days, users began coming to the game's page and subsequently rating it 1/10 when they realized there was nothing playable. I freaked out, believing all my work was going down the drain. Site admins agreed to remove one of the negative reviews, but the rest stayed.

To be clear, the game is finished. I've actually had pretty bad postpartum depression on this one, ruminating on all the things I could have done with it to make it even better. At some point you just have to let it go, and the best thing for me is to make peace with it, I think.

Holy shit, I just completed 7-99 in Spelunky 2. This might be the hardest challenge I have ever seen in any video game ever?? This thing has consumed my life these last few months, I am so elated and relieved that I finally pulled it off.
