Hello 2024! I'm Leona, a voice actor and vtuber who's worked in game localization since 2011. I've worked on Kiseki/Trails, Ys, Corpse Party, and tons more!
You can hear me in

i remember when we were trying to come up with a name for EDF2 and it was like 6PM and i had to leave so i wrote "Invaders from Planet Space" as a joke and then in our next company meeting i learned that won with the most office votes
while playing sen no kiseki iv in jp i noticed there was a single big version of the dong enemy and i made have made a request and it may have gone through thank you nisa for lending me your ears
working in localization is looking at jp and going "yeah that's obviously jormungand and this here is oceanus and this is nyarlathotep" but it's also looking at jp and going "is this breath or bless"
Today is my last day at XSEED Games. It’s a bit sudden, but I’ve had a good eight years at the company and I wish everyone there the absolute best. Please support London Detective Mysteria when it launches and show them there’s a hungry market for otome games!
still thinking about how a friend said there's no shame in reading a lot of BL and i said i read it as soon as i wake up like i'm reading the morning paper and he said "have SOME shame" 😭
They announced it last night on the stream! I am SO EXCITED to say I am the English voice of Anila in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising! 🐑🐑🐑 Thank you SO MUCH to

,
@MoreSamanthaMor
, and so so so many others for making my dreams come true!!
when
@MoreSamanthaMor
called me to tell me i was going to be anila, i almost lost the feeling in my legs. i couldn't believe i was gonna be a part of something that i was a huge fan of for years. i remember SPARKING anila years ago. 🥹 today is just such a wonderful day!
hi i've worked until games since 2011. yes if you plan ahead of time, it's possible not to kill your staff. delays suck because it's down to poor management but delays > no delays because more time is ALWAYS better. anyway destroy all games companies that overwork their employees
one of the things i love about granblue fantasy gameplay-wise is there's endless content. i think for some, it might be overwhelming that there's a lot to grind, but i like how i can always open up the game and go "okay, i have a goal today." and it all helps you grow.
nobody cared when localization/translation got hit with AI. nobody cared when artists got hit with AI. it feels like nobody cares that actors are now getting hit with AI. at some point every career is gonna be hit with it. when will anyone start caring so people can survive?
since the cast is starting to get announced, i can now officially say i oversaw the localization of Trails through Daybreak as project manager, a lead editor, & casting director/producer! 😌 the EN cast is absolutely wonderful for this game, and i'm sure you'll love them.
recently, i took a risk and spoke to a client of mine, asking for a significant raise in rate--a 45% bump--and instead of turning me down/firing me, they asked why, and i broke down modern expenses and my experience. they accepted, and my team is also getting a 40%-50% bump. 😭
and now with the professional tweet out of the way: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
short version: hey management and suits you know what's really sexy and cool? doubling your development schedule and then magically releasing "early" because it was way more time than you actually needed and your staff gets to develop a title they love to completion and be happy.

well, paperwork is signed and a company laptop arrived, so i think it's safe enough to say: on monday, i'll be starting my new job as a Localization Producer at Riot Games! 😚
Trails into Reverie launches today! I hope you guys come to love it as much as I do. And although it's a somber moment during an exciting launch, I wanted to give a special thanks to the lead editor of Lloyd's route,
@dstijerina
, who passed away shortly after loc was complete.
for those interested in the Trails series, Trails into Reverie is NOT a starting point 😨 even if the JP title uses the word "beginning." start with Trails in the Sky, Trails from Zero, or Trails of Cold Steel. try to play them all. Cold Steel is the most required
what sucks is usually by the time the delay is decided, it's because people physically can't keep going anymore. it's usually not someone padding in consideration of their workers ahead of time. it shouldn't be this way. this shouldn't be the culture the game industry develops.
Lucilius arrives as a multiplayer boss battle in an update planned for early March!
Be warned... This battle against the king of fallen angels is not for the faint of heart. Will you rise to the challenge?

it's nice to meet everyone! and if you followed me recently because of the granblue fantasy news, i'm going to use it as an excuse to talk about gbf some more 🙇♀️so here's a small thread about my years-long obsession
i only had a shower at my old place so moving into my parents' place makes it the first time my cats have seen a full-on bathtub and they've been concerned for my safety ever since
it's March 15th in japan which means it's my birthday over there!! (i'm in los angeles but i'm not gonna let that stop me from celebrating twice) 🎉 🎉 🎉
so do delays = suddenly less crunch? no. but it's more time. but also, that's sincerely not good enough, because tons of industry delays is a sign that things need to change. so please don't misunderstand that i think more delays is a magic solution. lol
this game initially turned me into a bitter person who would literally keep a breaking record tab on how many hours i worked in a hour (record: 34 hours) and by the end i was so hateful and depressed that it p much permanently threw me out of mental whack lmao
Sometimes localizing a video game can be just as hard as making the game itself! Find out what happened with Trails In the Sky Second Chapter on the latest What Happened!
OMG I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW NEXT WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK YESSSSSSSSS
i've received a lot of nice messages today. i'm on cold steel iii as a freelancer, but i didn't expect to be able to work on the series again, so i'm grateful i was given the chance.
regularly scheduled tweet saying that tweets saying negative things about another company (NISA, XSEED, or otherwise) to boost a compliment in some form are not appreciated. don't forget there are people at those companies. they have lives, families, and work within their means.
trails in the sky the 3rd ending spoilers but if you ever wanted to know my favorite scene to edit from my favorite game i've ever edited...it's this one right here. this whole scene. still forever grateful i got to edit this game with
@VarionTL
as its translator.
i want to cry playing granblue relink. it's such a wonderful game, and it rewards me as a longtime fan in every single possible way. i LOVE this game SO MUCH

a foreign falcom fan visited the xseed booth and was saying how the reputation for xseed’s localization with kiseki is extremely high to both chinese and japanese fans 😭
A good first day. 😊 I joined the localization team at Nexon America! I'm excited to see what I can learn from the people there. Thank you for letting me join!
trails of cold steel iii is out and i'm so looking forward to finally playing it in english and while my contribution to the game was small here are some speaker notes from voice recording the prologue and probably why i shouldn't be hired to write speaker notes
it's Friday, which means i've officially made my anime voice acting debut in Trails of Cold Steel - Northern War! i get to be a pushy ice cream lady and a cute little girl in episode 3 ☺️ Trails is truly the gift that keeps on giving for me!
you can see my name on the Trails of Cold Steel: Northern War credits list as a script supervisor 🥹 i play a very small part, but the team is just AMAZING. it's a huge pleasure to watch baby's first anime come to life in english!
