Happy to report that both Harry & Bryony are both absolutely fine. A little battered & bruised but will to fight another day. Thank you for all the messages.
I don’t know how many winners I’ll train in my life or what I will achieve, however nothing will ever top the feeing of today.
To win for mum and dad with them there and Amy was a moment I will never forget. Seelotmorebusiness you have provided me with the best day in my life.
I adore this sport but sometimes it can be gut wrenchingly cruel. So sad for Tony Fear & Louise Cabble who bought Tommy into the world & have loved him since. Brave & bold he’d have run into a brick wall for you. I’ll always remember you at your terrifying best.Sleep well Tommy
An empty stable to get home to on the evening of a Raceday is always the most miserable part of our jobs... with that in mind I’m thinking of the Skelton team this evening and all the people that will miss their two lost today. Tough game at times. 😔
B has asked me to let the Black Corton fans among you know that he has arrived safely at his retirement home, he’s been a wonderful horse for Mr Brooks & Mr Kyle & will have a fantastic home for the rest of his days with the Frost family.
Feels pretty mad that tomorrow I’m going to send out my first runner as a licensed trainer Huntington. A day I have dream of for a very long time and to do it for my two biggest supporters mum and dad is pretty special. Go well Seelotmorebusiness. Merry Christmas everyone ❤️🎄
The biggest win of the day for all of us involved at Paul’s yard was without doubt Cyrname getting up. Watching him walk back to the cheers of the crowd demonstrated what a wonderful group of people there are that support jump racing. Thank goodness he’s going home safe. ❤️
Some are good, some are great. Some if you’re lucky give you a day you’ll remember forever. Some are so bloody wonderful they’ll give you countless days you remember. Tough, honest & classy. Politologue you’ve been bloody marvellous. Have loved watching you, I’ll miss this view.
Anyone who has ever been involved in Frodons journey as a racehorse will never ever forget him. He gave you absolutely everything he had every single time. The reception he and B got when they won the Ryanair is something I’ll never forget. Wishing him a long and happy retirement
A pretty rubbish day at Ludlow losing Capeland a wonderfully likeable and kind horse to have any involvement with. Feel incredibly sorry for his owner Kathy Stuart and Flo who looked after him for the the last couple of seasons. Sleep well Capeland dear friend ❤️
I’m biased but for over 20 years now the boss has been either 1st or 2nd in the trainers championship, tomorrow he’ll be crowned champ for the 11th time in his career. Creating that from nothing is incredible, I’m absolutely bursting with pride to be a small part of it.

If you’re having a bad day then meet my friend Ed. Wheelchair bound for the rest of his days but wearing the biggest smile in Ditcheat, the strength shown by him & his mum Bev is not only inspiring but incredibly humbling. It’s was a joy to introduce to the horses today.
I listen to Radio 1 when I’m in the car or home & in that time I’ve listened to newsbeat Ive never heard Horseracing get mentioned until today.That is what Rachel is doing for us, taking our sport to a bigger, younger,more diverse audience. Unreal jockey but boundary breaker too
The highs and lows of our sport. Feeling very sorry for Mrs Yeoman & Mrs Hart who have lost Southfield Stone today. A very kind & popular horse within our yard. Sleep well boy ❤️
So the boss has just informed me that 29 years to the day he moved to Ditcheat, I suggested that he hadn’t done too badly in those years... “just getting started” was his reply, fittingly he’s now watching 12 unraced 4 year olds work.. maybe he’s right 🤷♂️
What a truly special partnership B and Frodon are, a quite brilliant ride from B to win the King George chase who was magnificent from the front. And what can you even say about Frodon, he is just quite incredible. A wonderful wonderful horse ❤️❤️
One of the toughest and classiest horses I have ever seen, utterly relentless when at his best he was the perfect staying chaser and everything that Mr Barber ever wanted in equine form. Sleep well big man, thank you for giving us as much as you did.

Sat in the airport struggling to believe the day I’ve been lucky enough to have. To train 3 winners on the day is beyond my wildest dreams. To my team, thank you so much. You make it all happen & you’re all super stars
Well done to connections. A day to live long in the memory🙌
Think everyone in racing should be very grateful to
@kevinblake2011
for speaking so brilliantly about our sport last night on television. We should be proud of how we care for our horses and our sport. Kevin demonstrated that brilliantly.
A final weekend with team Ditcheat that will stay with me forever. A job and a place that I have loved so much. Thank you to everyone who made yesterday so much fun. Now onto my new challenge & adventure. I cannot wait to see what the future holds. Thanks team Ditcheat. 👏🤝
Cyrname you’re a special horse. So so delighted to watch him show all his class today winning the Charlie Hall under a brilliant ride from Harry. The team have done an amazing job from Scott & Rodg, but this was a brilliant training performance to get him back from the boss.
Thirty years doing any job is some feat but to have put the endless hours of work in over the years, had the success he’s had and still retain the enthusiasm and desire he has is unbelievable. He’ll be there at 6:30 in the morning still driving us to get better.

So so made up for this wonderful horse, at his 5th festival he finally gets his day in the sun. Unreal training performance from the boss, unreal ride from
@harryskelton89
and a brilliant effort from
@hanroche1
who rides him at home. A Queen Mother Champion Chase!

To everyone who has supported me and helped me get to this point you know who you are and you know how grateful I am. Epic.
Big thanks to
@francesca_x_jane
for the photos 📸
Really struck by the reception Halo Des Obeaux got as he got up from his final flight fall at Newton Abbot. A wonderfully appreciative crowd who clearly love the sport. That demonstrated beautifully what racing people think of their horses. A small but special moment. 🙌
This is it then. My last blog for the boss. I hope you enjoyed reading all these years. I sure enjoyed writing it. Thank you to
@STurnerTipster
& Lina Chadburn for tidying it up for me every week. Please give it a share if you enjoy it.
As tough and classy a horse as I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. He provided us with so many special days, including 7 Grade ones. Thank you so much for all you gave us Conti. May you sleep well and rest in peace.
Three weeks ago at Ascot on the phone to Paul, “not sure what to make of that boss, bit disappointed”... him to me “don’t worry mate that experience under his belt he’ll win the Betfair hurdle” suppose that’s why he’s 11 times champ 🙄
Not our day in the big one today, a brave run from MTT and both have come home safely. Today though all credit goes to Jeremy Scott and his yard, a really fantastic man in victory and defeat & I am delighted for him. Very well done Jeremy. 👏
Dear Dennis, you’re not welcome, nobody likes you, you’ve got no friends and we’d all have a much better weekend if you just pissed off. All the best, with love, the racing community x
What else can you say about him? Another amazing performance from this little legend & B onboard. Well done to Holley & Michelle who do all the work with him & to his wonderful owners Mr & Mrs Vogt. Just a magnificent horse ❤️
