We are honoured to announce a very special visitor to the school on June 28th. Further details will be posted on school website in due course
@nlcpeople
😀
Her Majesty surprised teacher Eileen McLoughlin by presenting her with a gift to mark 32 years of service to the school on the day of her retirement. Many congratulations!
Tomorrow is a special occasion in more ways than one. It is the final day for our very own Mrs McLoughlin DHT, who retires after 32 years service in Greenfaulds. We will miss her dearly and her commitment to the young people she has served in her various roles in GHS

Coatshill Hospital
NLC Home Support Workers (Bron Way)
Cumbernauld Community Midwives
Darrich Care Home
Denny Care Home
Glasgow Council Children and Families duty team. Please contact
@Ghs_Tech
if you are aware of a need for more visors👍
A special mention to our Head Teacher
@Rojesmum
. She managed to carry off today with her usual style on top of the ‘top secret’ nature of the build up, including the ‘special’ awards presented. It must have been tough to keep quiet for so long 😂

⭐️..take some time off!
We are delighted to announce that our captains for session 2020-21 are Georgia Knox and Alasdair Condie. A very big thank you to the 6 other candidates who made the interview process very difficult as they were all outstanding.
So a little finale to round things off and just about sums up where we are right now and I suppose what could have been. Let’s look forward though with positivity and to easier times. Respect to all of you and enjoy your night. Apologies for the bad lip sync 😂

We had the honour of a visit from HM Queen Elizabeth back on the 28th of June, 2019. It was a day we will all remember for the rest of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Queen’s family at this sad time.
So tomorrow would have been the final day for our current S6 in the school. On the plus side, no eggs, flour or farmyard animals to deal with 🤣 However, we want to make it a special day and as such will be posting pictures of the year group throughout the day on a special thread
Fantastic effort by all our young people on arrival in school this morning from S1-3. They clearly have looked at all the guidance and instruction for day 1 and things went very smoothly. The bar has been set S4-6 😉🤣
@Greenfaulds_HS
Here’s some of my colleagues making good use of the visors yesterday. Sincere thanks to your teachers for going to the effort to help us at this difficult time. And thanks to
@Rojesmum
for delivering them to GRI. Your help is really appreciated.
Normal service will return after this tweet as I sign off… I can hear a collective sigh of relief😀 I would to personally thank everyone in the school and wider community for all your support in my 24 years at Greenfaulds.
Schools out 😀 It’s been a very eventful and memorable end to the session. A massive thank you to everyone in involved in making today such a success. The good news is, we get to do it all over again in August 👍...... without HRH of course 😉😀

After some very strong competition and outstanding presentations from our young people, we are proud and pleased to announce our two captains. Callum Stackpool and Alex Crawford 👏👏👏
The class of 22 have dealt with more challenges than most over their time in the school. Their resilience and ability to get through it with a smile (mostly 😜) will be their legacy. Good luck with your exams and the journey ahead

One for the diary next week 😉The school and some of our pupils will feature in the the BBC’s coverage of the exam results on Tuesday. They will be in the school very early to film ‘live’ as these pupils open their envelopes 😀 Good luck to all our young people for Tuesday 👍☘️
A fantastic effort by all our pupils today in raising £3500 for our charities. A huge thanks to the organisers and helpers on the day. Miss Paterson take a bow for all your work and getting such a strong team of helpers 👍👏👏👏👏
Good luck to all our young people tomorrow with the SQA results. Remember there are always options if things don’t go as planned and there are alternative pathways to all destinations on your journey 👍
It is with an element of sadness but great pride that we say goodbye to our 2019 graduates. Good luck to all of you on the next stage of your journey and thank you for your contribution to GHS

A year ago almost to the day we thought we couldn’t top the drama of a royal visit to end the term ... who knew 🤷♂️😃
We will update everyone through Group Call and twitter as soon as we have confirmed details of the proposed start of term in August.
The whole school would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Beattie, who finished her post as Acting Head Teacher today. The staff, students and parents could not have been in better or safer hands these past few months. As a reward Mrs B, take each Monday off from here on in! ❤️
Today brings and end to one of the most challenging school sessions many of us have ever been involved in. We would like to thank all our young people, families and staff for their hard work over the last few months. You have all risen to the challenge

Good luck tomorrow everyone awaiting results. Remember that if things don’t go as expected it’s not the end of the road. On Thursday staff will be in school to discuss any option changes and help with support. Contact the school for time details if you did not receive a letter.
We would like to wish all our parents, pupils and wider Greenfaulds community our best wishes. We hope you have an enjoyable festive period with friends and family. Nollaig Chridheil agus Bliadha Mhath ur.🎄🎅
Pupils return on the 6th of January.
First day down and it was great to see so many happy faces in the school 😀 It was very encouraging also to see the uniform policy being supported so well and our thanks to all of you👍
Two highlights of Mrs Park's 7 years at the school... see I can be serious sometimes😉. The opening of the new school and her majesty's visit.

So as the Easter break approaches, its time to put school work to one side for a fortnight. Pick up a book, do some drawings, make something, bake a cake, play on your phone, ...…. actually, that all sounds a bit too much like school 🤣
A big thank you and well done to everyone as we completed our first full week. A reminder that this weeks timetable is Week A. This means that on Mon. Tues. and Thursday, P1, P3 and P6 are doubles and on Wed. and Fri. P1, P3 and P5 are doubles. Thankfully the pupils get it 😂
So the first of our introduction videos to assist our P7 transitions is now up. To be honest they peak at the 3rd clip and go down rapidly 😉😂
#meettheslt
Following an incredibly challenging recovery which is ongoing, Alasdair McMonagle S5, was back representing the school at the Indoor National Championships at the Emirates Arena today, and ran a new personal best in the 400m!
@CumbernauldA
Truly inspiring

However it also marks the start of retirement for 4 of our wonderful staff, who between them have served more than 70 years at GHS. Mrs Harvey DHT, Mrs Mair Physics, Mr Paton Maths and Mr Duffy Technical finish today and we would want to thank them and wish them the very best 🥲
Although the school remains open, we are aware that some pupils currently remain at home.See link below to areas of study that can be accessed at home.We are currently putting together a more extensive guide which we will inform pupils about in due course
As everyone in the school community will be aware, we are entering the last few days before the retirement of Mrs Park. For no other reason that to put her on edge a little, watch this space next week for some 'interesting' trips down memeory lane 😉😀

A lot of work has gone into the displays for Rememberance day this week. Well done to Mr. Clulow , Mr. Allison, the GHS Janitorial team and all the pupils involved
A spectacular Christmas door effort from our school AFA Ms Russell. All the more impressive by the fact she doesn’t have a door as she often likes to remind me 😂
What a time at our Halloween Fright Night organised by S6s. ‘Pointless’, singalongs, group dances + karaoke (plus a tick shop of course).After the past few years these are nights to cherish +we’ll never take them for granted again ❤️ Over £400 raised for
