People hear “Wyoming” and picture the Tetons. In reality that’s a small slice of a state that is treeless, windy and oftentimes bleak. Only one city has +50,000 people. If you don’t arrive there already having made your millions, it’s a hard place to scratch out a life. People…
Dabo on ESPN when asked about Garrett Riley’s first games as OC
“We’ll, it’s the Clemson offense… We’ve always collaborated as a staff… We hired Garrett to come in here and coordinate the Clemson offense.”

The following things are all true…
-Saban is the 🐐 cfb coach. This may have been his best coaching job
-Bama got a massive gift from the CFP committee and didn’t cash it in
-FSU could’ve put up 116 pass yards and 4.4 YDS per play with 15 practices to prep a backup QB. Or…
For the record, this game doesn’t mean the committee got it right on FSU
It does reinforce the absurdity of UGA dropping from clear
#1
to
#6
after a 3-point loss that was their first in 2 years
Everyone in the CFP is glad UGA ain’t there. Especially with a month to get healthy
Freddie Freeman just walked in, took one look at the podium and said “give me a minute” he is now out of the room. We are waiting for him to come back in. Very emotional day here at Truist.

Georgia’s win over FSU means the Bulldogs have won 42 games in the last three seasons.
That is the most games a college football team has ever won in a three-year span
Alabama won 41 from 2016-2018. Clemson won 41 from 2017-2019.
UGA is the first program to hit 42
Stetson telling Eli Manning the story of the throw to AD Mitchell in the National Championship
“Dish-Jet-Red-Left-Both-Seam-Go” goes down in UGA Football history with “P44-Haynes” and “70-X-Takeoff”
Josh Heupel ran it up on Mizzou just to turn around and watch South Carolina hang 63 with 2 minutes left by continuing to throw the same 3 routes his defense hasn’t stopped all night
Brock Bowers did a lot do wild stuff in a Georgia uniform. Don’t forget the plank he pulled off in Atlanta last year. Without it, Georgia’s comeback against Ohio State would have ended before it ever began. One of the more athletic plays I’ve ever seen
Coaching record through 100 games…
Kirby Smart: 85-15
Nick Saban: 84-16
Steve Spurrier: 83-16-1
Bear Bryant: 81-12-1
Georgia fans, soak these years in. Take in the sights, smells and sounds. You’re in the midst of the best coaching tenure in the history of SEC Football
Kelee Ringo trained with CEO of Ford Sports Performance Tracy Ford yesterday and reportedly clocked an overspeed of 26.31 MPH 🤯
An overspeed of 26.31 MPH is approximately 23.5 MPH in actual speed..
The fastest an NFL ball carrier was clocked at this season was 22.11 MPH 😳
“A bunch of kids that love this place. We took zero out of the portal. They all love it here. They competed their ass off and these fans are elite. I’m so proud of our university and these kids. They practiced their ass off for two weeks.”
- Kirby Smart to CBS on win over Vols
Brock Bowers is a mythical figure come to life. When I was a kid, stories about Herschel Walker had the same tone as stories about Paul Bunyan.
If you’re a Georgia fan under 45 years old, Brock Bowers is your Herschel. The stories of his feats will sound untrue to your kids
This felt like the 2012 SEC Championship game in reverse. Georgia used to be the team that somehow lost when they should have won. Last night they were the monster that wouldn’t die. It felt like UGA couldn’t catch a break. They couldn’t get a call or finish drives. Then… Boom
If I am spending my money on a ticket to watch a current NBA player it’s Anthony Edwards. No load management bullshit. Makes plays on both ends of the floor. Straight up Dawg.
Kirby hiring T-Rob away from Alabama is one of the more savage offseason moves we’ve seen in awhile. He was probably the best recruiter left on the Bama staff
If you wanted to handicap a new coach with zero ties to the region this would be the way to start. Absolutely savage.
UGA’s 65 point performance in the title game happened because there were no more games to save plays for. Monken/Smart kept the governor on the engine all year. People who said things like “they only scored 27 on Tennessee” never understood how UGA actually functions
#TheLongCon
Georgia went to Auburn, realized Carson Beck could handle anything you throw at him, handed him a new recipe and is letting him cook.
This is impressive
Amarius Mims warming up with his Bleckley County teammates once upon a time in 2020
This is what a 1st round lineman looks like next to a bunch of other Class A high-school football players

@ChadSimmons_
Carter, Ringo, Christopher Smith & Beal get a curtain call. Then the coaches shoved Nolan Smith onto the field for one of his own. Lots of yells and a few tears in here
This is a wonderfully authentic moment
At its best, college sports is about giving young people an opportunity to improve their station in life. It’s often education. Sometimes it’s exposure and NIL $. Occasionally it’s as simple as a roof and hot food. Credit to Cole and Irby
I’ve been told by sources today that Brock Bowers was sick leading into the game and all of last night. Makes the reach for the sticks on 4th down and the catch in traffic on UGA’s final drive even more impressive. Gutted it out to help get his team over the hump in the end
Georgia basically was screwed by Bama’s loss to Texas in Week 2 because the committee chose to play the transitive property game
What would’ve cancelled that? UGA having a win over the Oklahoma team it had on its schedule before the SEC told UGA to cancel it. That’s tough.
In Kirby Smart’s 2nd year he lost a national title in the same stadium after refs missed multiple calls, including a 4th down false start on the game tying TD. He never talked about it in the press
Excuses are easy but they corrode your culture. Now UGA has two straight titles.
"Can I say something?"
"I made a lot of calls after the game"
Here is Ryan Day's full answer on the targeting call on Marvin Harrison Jr that was overturned in the Peach Bowl:
Jermaine Burton said he transferred to Alabama because he was trying to make the best decision he can for his family. Now he gets an extra week to shop for their gifts this holiday season. Great to see these decisions pan out the way everyone hoped they would
Put some respect on Carson Beck
Beck was 6/7 passing on 3rd downs in the 2nd half
The average distance needed for a 1st down on those plays was 8.1 YDS
Beck averaged 13.4 YDS per attempt on the 7 third down throws
5 of the 6 completions went for a 1st down
Big boy stuff
4 years ago today the names on UGA’s 2019 signing class had rolled in. The morning was filled with a flurry of LOI’s but by dusk everyone assumed the class was complete. Around 7:00 one last name came across the fax machine with little fanfare…
A JUCO QB named Stetson Bennett
I don’t want to hear another word about UGA and WR development after tonight. AD Mitchell was a 3-star who wasn’t a nationally ranked recruit. Georgia’s staff identified him and helped develop him into one of the most clutch college WR’s of the last 20 years
Many might not remember this… But there is no way UGA wins the SEC East in 2019 without Dom Blaylock. His TD on 3rd down against UF was the difference in the game. Ditto for the 51 yard TD catch he had at Auburn. His status as a DGD should be secured
Todd McShay getting dunked on left and right tonight for his comments on Jalen Carter
I haven’t seen a middle-aged white guy on national TV have this many issues with a UGA lineman since Josh Heupel’s last trip to Athens
Pick your favorite 2022 Vol Twitter memory
A) Compared UT to 2019 LSU all week before Vols put up 0.6 YPP in the Red Zone and get dominated by UGA
B) Convinced itself UT would beat UGA in rematch after the Vols beat Mizzou. USC immediately hangs 63 on them and ends CFP chances
UGA 24 - Bama 27
How big was the gap between
#1
&
#2
? CFP’s job is to get the best 4 teams. UGA is one of those
A 7-point call on dropped 4th down pass in a 3-point game and injuries to Mondon, Mims, Thomas, Ladd & Bowers leaves a loophole for the CFP. UGA wins by 4 without it
Saban looks even worse now. We’ve seen a minimum of 3 people Burton struck. If he was scared, as stated by Saban, why didn’t he see any of the male fans as a threat? Why did he hit women who’d cleared his path? This is a frustrated bully targeting women
I came of age during the Goff/Donnan years of UGA football… It absolutely blows my mind to witness a reality where a rabid pack of extremely online Georgia fans is furious that the QB who helped deliver a national title is returning for another year
BREAKING: Multiple sources confirm UGA WR GEORGE PICKENS IS NEGATIVE FOR COVID-19 and has been released from quarantine protocols after numerous subsequent tests found that Pickens does not have the virus. The result reported earlier in the week was a false positive
Sony Michel retired yesterday only 5 yrs 6 mos and 26 days after his run to “send the Dawgs home to the championship game”
His NFL earnings were $2.3 mil/yr. He gave up a year of that to help turn an 8-5 team into a 13 game winner. UGA fans should never forget that sacrifice
Alabama fans are on the TL talking about how the portal is broken
Did you enjoy watching Jameson Williams tear through secondaries in 2021? Did you support Jermaine Burton doing what was “best for his family” after beating you in a natty?
Of course. Welcome to the other side.
Stetson Bennett, the QB taken with the
#128
pick in the NFL Draft, beat the QB’s taken at 1,
#2
,
#4
,
#33
and
#68
in the same season… I wonder if we’ve ever seen a QB beat the top 5 QB’s taken in one draft in one season before
UGA was
#1
even after Michigan’s win over Ohio St. They lost by 3 to the
#1
talent composite team with injuries all over the roster
Professional referee Gene Steratore said this about Bama’s TD drive before half
Can’t say “4 best” without UGA in the CFP
In hindsight, the moment Stetson Bennett threw in a fat chaw after beating Auburn is when we all should have known he would be the one to bring about final form UGA and end the heartache
“Whoso breaketh this drought shall be the most Georgian among them”
People continued to tell you this guy didn’t have enough arm strength for the pro game because they were too stuck on a company’s 2-star eval than what he put on tape
As you watch college football players get the money they always deserved, never forget that it has been less than a decade since the NCAA stole a Heisman trophy from Todd Gurley for making a few extra bucks off of signing his own damn name on his own damn picture
I don’t know why people are acting surprised that Stetson Bennett had a chip on his shoulder at the UGA championship celebration. People went on radio, podcasts, Finebaum, etc. every day for 2 years and questioned him. He used that doubt to drive his improvement. Why change now?
Kirby on Darnell Washington: “People don’t give this guy enough credit, but Darnell was one of the leaders in that locker room that said ‘I want to run the ball. Get behind me and let me move people.”
Lol there were literally people in my mentions saying Stetson was selfish for coming back for a final year and that he should go out on top. The dude went back-to-back and became the first UGA QB to throw for 4,000 YDS while doing it. His legacy is beyond dispute.
My Dad has been watching UGA football for 50+ years. Doesn’t get too high/low about anything.
He texted me in Q3 yesterday about the windows Beck was putting the ball into. Said he couldn’t remember a UGA QB have a game with more NFL throws. I can’t either.
There are a lot of things to takeaway from tonight for UGA but the thing that I keep thinking about is Brock Bowers. He is the best player in the country and UGA should start the 2023 Heisman campaign for him now
Imagine the officials just simply stopping and reviewing a 4th down catch being the difference between a potential third straight title or falling 5 spots on the final weekend of the season
Mike White’s first Georgia team has beaten
#22
Auburn 76-64 in Athens. The Dawgs win their SEC opener for the first time in 7 years. Terry Roberts lead the way with 26 for UGA.
The Dawgs are 11-3. Georgia Basketball is open for business, folks.
To recap…
-ESPN fired David Pollack after he called UGA cfb’s new standard
-Pat McAfee told UGA fans they can “go to hell” live on ESPN in December
-The same week, Kirk Herbstreit called 5* QB Dylan Raiola’s dad and told him to flip from UGA
-ESPN hires Nick Saban in February…
Travon Walker with a sack, a forced fumble and a INT in his first career game. He’s playing like a
#1
pick. Meanwhile, Aidan Hutchinson has been largely ineffective and looks slow… I’m going to need an apology from Michigan Twitter if this keeps up
The football side of Sedrick Van Pran-Grainger returning to UGA is huge. What he brings from a leadership standpoint is probably bigger. He’s gonna get on freshmen if they miss class. He makes sure reps aren’t skipped in offseason workouts. He knows UGA’s standard and he lives it
I only got 2 hours of sleep last night and everything on my body hurts but I made it to the airport on time and it appears a ton of other Georgia fans did as well. You’re either elite or you’re not
This reverse angle of the Brock Bowers TD to beat Bama is wild. He looked upfield before he caught it. A lot of guys drop the ball with their eyes upfield like that. Lucky for UGA that Bowers is a freakish athlete
Uhhh Eastern Washington’s kicker just kicked a 22-yard field goal and something happened and the ball hit the scoreboard after going through the uprights and the refs got confused and just looked around and called it no good. Holy shit this is worse than the 5th down.
KJ Bolden is a Dawg and Kirby Smart is a bad, bad dude. This flip started the day after Bolden’s first announcement. An absolute masterclass in how to stay in a recruitment
Feels worth mentioning that UGA’s defense has done this all day despite 0 holding flags called on the Vols. There’s been a lot of replays with hands full of jersey
Was just texting with
@JimWoodPMP
and he made a great point…
Y’all are way more certain than me that the CFP is gonna drop
#1
four spots after a 3 point, neutral site loss, with a bad call as the difference. When UGA had 7 starters injured/limited? And UGA had won 29 in a row?
UGA stays at
#1
in the AP Poll. This is the 30th week Georgia has been ranked
#1
since the poll started in 1936
UGA under Kirby Smart: 15 weeks ranked
#1
UGA 1936-2016: 15 weeks ranked
#1
I don’t want to be the guy that overreacts to bowl results, but I do think we’re getting to a point of sustained results showing that these vaunted Big 10 defenses are a product of playing against a lot of very dysfunctional offenses
When fall camp started, Carson Beck was the only Top 20 quarterback from the Class of 2019 who had not transferred from his original school or started a game.
Now he climbs into the stands in his hometown after a 43-20 win over the program that he flipped to Georgia from
Every member of UGA’s 2018 Recruiting Class who has finished their career at UGA except Adam Anderson has been drafted
7 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- 3 drafted, 3 transfer, 1 suspended
14 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- 7 drafted, 4 transfer, 3 still @ UGA
3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 2 drafted, 1 transfer
Insane development from UGA
Plan A for UGA at Slot DB this year was Tykee Smith. Plan B was Brini.
William Poole III steps in and gives up 29 YDS on 9 targets in a national title game
Adam Anderson was a R1 talent at Edge. He gets suspended and Beal leads the team in sacks in 5 starts
Unreal development
Smart to CBS on how UGA has won 28 straight…
“Sign good players, sign good kids, and get them to believe, that if they don’t care who gets the credit, if they don’t care who get the credit that they’ll be very successful.”
