I am devastated to share the news that on Wednesday February 3 our dad Michael Guy died. He passed away at Southport hospital with Mum, his sister Val, daughter Kathryn and myself at his side. 1/
Legendary actor Paul Sorvino has died aged 83.
As Paul Cicero in Goodfellas he taught generations how to slice garlic like a true Boss. Rest in Peace. π
No wonder people think the PL unequivocally favours the top clubs. Mane pushes two players in the face - no red card. Gordon pushed in the back no card for Trent. Richarlison goes over on his ankle ref plays on. Blatant Matip pen on Gordon. Not to mention the bias Sky commentary.

The narrative against Anthony Gordon is sick. He's 21.
He's Everton's sole standout this season. He's also been a highlight for England U21s in recent games.
Whether you agree or disagree that he dived, the LFC national press bias is assassinating a young lad giving his all.

Sacking Lampard is unequivocally not the answer. He has a good coaching team and has imparted, until now, a positive culture at Everton. Failing to sign a striker was pathetic. That is on the club as a whole. Moshiri and Kenwright have created this mess. Vent your ire at them.
Tosun has now rejected about 15 clubs' advances to play football. Instead he'll sit on his arse & accept his huge wage. Fair play.
But, here's an idea. Why don't Everton send Cenk out to do daily Community work. Foodbanks, children wards etc. A good way to see out that contract?
Warming to the idea of
#Everton
appointing Frank Lampard.
Number of big positives:
He'll be *desperate* to succeed given Chelsea cut-short his first PL appointment. Born winner. Knows league, players & culture inside out. Will attract youth and experience.
Thoughts Blues? π΅

Everton: a club united. Goodison Park fans inspired one of the most heroic displays you're likely to see. From Pickford to Mina to Gordon & goalscorer Richarlison, the Blues players and fans gave absolutely everything to beat Chelsea. Long way to go but this was colossal. UTFT.
Sad news, the iconic Nichelle Nichols, who played Lieutenant Uhura on Star Trek has died.

An Everton player (possibly Sam Chedgzoy) shares a joke with fans at pitch side at Goodison.
Attendance: 53,000.
Spirited Everton edged out by Liverpool and horrendous refereeing. Mane should have seen red as man of the match Anthony Gordon was denied a blatant penalty. You can't legislate for some of the officials' decisions this season but the Blues are now staring relegation in the face.
Sky Sports reporting Frank Lampard is now favourite to become Everton manager.
Ironically, Sky's interview earlier today with VΓtor Pereira has apparently upset the Goodison Park hierarchy and they're said to be moving on from the Portuguese.
What a circus.
Quick reminder - this stadium is creating thousands of jobs, enhancing world football AND being used for Euro 2028 Championships.
BUT, it's this Stadium which the Premier League are using to penalise Everton Football Club.
Open corruption.

Gotta take the positives. Better side lost. Many Reds praising the fight of the Blues today - with most in agreement Gordon ran the show. If Everton play like that til the end of the season we'll be in with a fighting chance. Oh, and Mykolenko had Saleh in his pocket. UTFT. π
Everton FC is being dismantled before our very eyes. Finest footballing asset sold in summer. Brightest youth prospect sold in January. Squad immeasurably weaker. Stadium funds diminishing. Board lying and treating fans with contempt. Dyche has no chance. Doomed.

Wild, wild night at Goodison Park. One hundred and fourteen minutes. Boltcutters. Farcical Allan red card. Anthony Gordon heroics. But none of it mattered other than an Iwobi bit of class as Lampard's Everton beat Newcastle, horrendous refereeing and VAR madness. The fight is on!
Jeez. This is embarrassing for Sunak. The evidence given before the Treasury Committee this afternoon on the catastrophic damage inflicted on the UK economy by the hard Brexit the PM championed is absolutely damning!

What a difference a week makes! Lampard brings the good times back to Goodison as Everton looked energised & rejuvenated slotting four passed Brentford. Brighter, hungrier & more direct - it's early days but watching Everton was actually fun. And that's what it's all about. π
Inexplicable how Nottingham Forest breach Premier League losses by Β£34.5m and are docked 4 points yet Everton in breach by Β£36.1m (Β£19.5m/Β£16.6m) docked 8 points.
Double the punishment.
Even more inexplicable City and Chelsea completely unaffected.
Everton produced one of the worst Merseyside Derby displays in living memory. Second to every ball. Minimal effort. Error-strewn. Zero attacking threat. Outbattled in midfield. Poor goalkeeping. Dire. The reality is, this could be the last Derby for quite some time.

24 years ago today, the greatest series of all time, aired: The Sopranos.
Here's a compilation of every episode including that infamous ending. Bada Bing!
Everton fans against Bielsa because they're worried he'd have them 'running, working hard and being demanding' is another symptom of why the Club is a mess.
Those characteristics should be the basics for a top level player.
The silence from Moshiri, Kenwright and the Everton Board is deafening.
A week of national TV, press and radio in which every major Everton fanbase as expressly addressed the Club with their concern - and nothing in return.
Everton have 9 wins out of 42. What is going on?
Everton were leagues behind Aston Villa - the wake up calls have been ignored time and again. Players aren't good enough. Squad is a mess. Same mistakes repeated. Michael Keane. Bill Kenwright still on the Board. Embarrassing. Horrendous. Everton fans deserves better. A disgrace.

Fitter, stronger, better. The Sean Dyche effect was immediate and effective. Defensively sound. McNeil and Doucoure reborn. Iwobi tireless. Onana dictated everything - a colossus. A long, long way to go but this was a very different Everton. Hope at last. UTFT. πͺπ
Disjointed and tactically disastrous, Benitez's Everton find new ways to lose in embarrassing fashion. Diabolical defending while bizarrely playing five at the back this was a farce from the off. Despite Anthony Gordon's brace and Gray's efforts it's now ONE win in 12. Atrocious.
Disgraceful Everton coverage by
@BBCMOTD
. The fan protests inside Goodison Park were peaceful and justified yet the presenting team chose to report unsubstantiated statements put out by the Board.

"Sean Dyche and Marcelo Bielsa were both told in interviews that Anthony Gordon would be leaving Everton Football Club but were reassured that two incomings would be coming into the club" - the Bobble.
Everton have yet to sign anyone.
Everton did what they do so often: push, pressurise, fail to score then self-destruct. But this is Dyche's Dogs of War Mk 2 and big Mick Keane, like many of his teammates, showed his rejuvenation with a blockbusting goal of the season to grab a vital point. How crucial is that?
Eight years ago today, we lost Prince.

"No threats or incidents were reported to police prior to the game".
Once again, this underlines Everton's Board are in an untenable position unless they can justify the statement they issued. They've shamed the fan base and turned the National agenda against the fans.
Make no mistake, this is on Moshiri and Kenwright.
The fans and everyone who cares about Everton FC have seen relegation coming a mile off.
They've allowed the club to fall to bits piece by piece.
A new Everton low. Lampard's side were battered by a fitter, sharper, better Brighton. The stark truth: this squad is Championship level and the manager is out of his depth to work with the mess he's inherited. How long he clings on is down to those who created it. Embarrassing.
Boris Johnson's Government has pulled Β£30.1 billion emergency NHS funding set aside during the pandemic.

"We need a striker, we'll get one"
200 days since Farhad Moshiri insisted Everton would sign a striker.
Two weeks until the start of the new season and Everton are still no closer to signing one.
Everton fans brought the ruckus - and the players responded! A rocking Goodison Park saw Leeds rattled from the off. Richarlison, Gordon, Iwobi and Van de Beek stood out but it was a colossal team performance. Consistency & confidence key to building on this superb display. UTFT.

Premier League's punishment suggests fine or transfer ban more likely than points deduction if Everton found guilty.
Again this underlines how poorly Everton is being run off the pitch. Change of ownership and board overhaul absolutely necessary.

Not sharing that Athletic piece on Everton/Bramley Moore. The website have dedicated Everton writers so it's strange to see a Red commissioned on such an emotive subject with a headline and social sell clearly intended to stir up unnecessary animosity and vitriol.
Merseyside Police proudly declaring on Twitter they've arrested a man for stealing a hot sandwich on a freezing cold day.
