These 2 women (aged 102 and 98) were 2 of MCFC’s mascots today. One of the women has been a season ticket holder since 1930! She will have experienced every major success apart from 1904 FAC win. Seeing Brook, Swift, Doherty, Trautmann etc.

Worth remembering that MCFC have had a larger average attendance for most of the last 2 decades than LFC. Last season's reduction in capacity at the Etihad (down to about 53,400 now) has changed that, so an increase to 60k+ would be appropriate. Personally I'd go to 65k asap

One of the things I liked most about the CL final last Saturday was the behaviour of fans. Both @ManCity & @Inter fans were well behaved and mixed well. I’m not aware of any issues between them and thankfully this ensured UEFA’s chaos didn’t end even worse.

70 years ago today Bert Trautmann joined @ManCity He was part way though his journey from perceived enemy to hero, recognised by the Queen for his work improving Anglo-German relations. A football and national legend - and that’s an appropriate use of the word.

I get the '3rd tier to this' stuff BUT we must remember that that low was itself so out of character with the club's longer history. Major trophy winners before MUFC, 26 years before Arsenal, 50 before Chelsea; European trophy winners before LFC, Juve etc. 1998 wasn't the norm!

100 years ago tonight @ManCity Hyde Rd Main Stand burnt down. City turned to MUFC for help but the rental terms Utd offered were exorbitant prompting the media to criticise the Reds extensively. When Utd needed to use City’s home in the 40s the Blues immediately offered Maine Rd

I find it absolutely ridiculous when any manager criticises fans of the club he is paid by but when it’s MCFC fans then it really gets my goat! No other team in England can expect 50k+ average when they share a conurbation with MUFC. Let’s celebrate fans not lambast them hey?

Watching MOTD and it’s absolutely baffling why Milner wasn’t booked for the 1st incident or the 3rd. Should’ve been off. If only we could introduce a video system to help referees get decisions right. Refereeing errors like this should not be allowed to continue.
