These last two races have shown that the FIA has lost control of policing F1. If Lewis Hamilton's rear wing was only 0.2mm out of regulation and it was caused by two loose fastenings, then he should not have been put to the back of the grid (1/2)

Today, Max Verstappen being given a 5-place grid penalty for not seeing a double waved yellow flag that shouldn't have been out there is again wrong. Yes, delete that lap time from anyone that didn't comply and then there is no advantage for not slowing, but no grid penalty (2/2)

Thankyou @SkySportsF1 for showing a replay of Mexico ‘91. As I said earlier, watching the cars - Williams, McLaren, Ferrari and Benetton - coming out of Peraltada with the Jordan 191 part of the bunch brings a tear to my eye. Thanks Andrea de Cesaris for everything you did for us

Three of us designed the Jordan 191. Andrew Green, now Racing Point technical director, did the suspension, driveline and steering. Mark Smith, later at Red Bull, the engine installation and gearbox. I did the chassis composites and aero but we all pitched in on everything.

The green Jordan 191 certainly looked good, but to say it was a flop is questionable. In defence of our achievements, we started the season with three people in the design team and 28 total staff. Remember, at that time 34 cars entered each race (1/2)

I have said this before, but if it was me I would send the cars out for one lap behind the safety car, then bring it in and allow the leader to dictate the pace. Run three laps with full yellows to move the water, then bunch them up and let them loose with a rolling start

This has come about from Q3 yesterday when the drivers were saying it should be red flagged. The FIA didn't react and Norris crashed. I've said many times that all competing drivers that have won an F1 title should make the decisions and not someone who has never sat in an F1 car

Tip of the day: in the old days at Zandvoort, to protect the engine from sand ingestion we taped a greased stocking into the airbox with a pull-cord string beside the driver's head. After a few laps, when the shenanigans finished, the driver would pull it out and get rid of it

This was a 191 with a Yamaha engine fitted. We modified a chassis by shorting the fuel tank. From memory, we ran it in December with Alex Zanardi driving. We had installed an engine that was a spare for David Brabham at Suzuka (1/3)

As far as the DRS rules are concerned, the wing slot gap must be no less than 10mm and no more than 15mm when closed and no more than 85mm when open. As long as the wing, when open, is fluttering from 85mm to less than 85mm it's legal. Structural failure would be my biggest worry

30 yrs ago. Andrea De Cesaris tries to push his Jordan-Ford 191 across the finish line to take 4th. Having been lapped by the Williams-Renaults of Riccardo Patrese & Nigel Mansell plus Ayrton Senna’s McLaren-Honda he didn’t need to. But it speaks volumes #F1 #Passion #MexicoGP

In 1973, we had a very wet Canadian GP. Carlos Reutemann was driving for us at Brabham and had a helmet visor with a round spinning front on it driven by the airflow that threw the water off as it rotated. Perhaps we need to go back in time to be able to run in wet conditions?
