Could you imagine “feeling it” as a hitter & “they” say it’s probably a good idea to take the next day off because you had too many total bases?

Saw this today and instantly made me think about what
@GreggOlson30
has been talking about lately. Analytics have a role but sometimes get carried away.
@GDBJr5
Maybe take him out of the game after two at bats if he got a single and double in first two AB's then he might be able to play the next day smh
@GDBJr5
In 2018, I went 2-3 with a 2B and 4 RBI off a 7-year big leaguer
The next night (game 3 of the series) I wasn’t in the lineup because they “had to figure some stuff out”
Pro baseball is not real baseball.
@GDBJr5
What’s disappointing is that there are enough of these people that they have basically become the majority.
And no matter what anybody says, the same kind of thinking, led to collusion about five or six years ago, when the fridge market was so slow.
@GDBJr5
Know a player in the Mets minor league system. Went to instructs and they gave him a monitor to wear to measure his load management. Said he had to go easy on hits or not run hard down line so that he could play the next day. Couldn’t believe my ears.
@GDBJr5
When that ball looks like a beach ball coming in, it’s amazing!! But it only lasts for so long so get while gett’n is good. (Unless you’re Tony Gwynn, then it looks like a beach ball an entire career).
@GDBJr5
Analytics do play role. Buck had his binders 20 years ago. You use as much info to our your team in the best chance to win. Analytics as they are today is out of control and has ruined the game. Period.
