At a special meeting last night, the Goose Creek CISD board of trustees voted to delay the start of school to September 8, 2020. All students will enroll in virtual instruction for the first three weeks of school, beginning September 8th.

Welcome, Daniel Blanson, the new principal at Horace Mann JS. Mr. Blanson is new to GC. Before joining us, he spent 16 years in Aldine ISD, where he served as a HS teacher, coach, assistant principal, and curriculum and instruction administrator. ➡️

Board Update: Goose Creek School Board approves the naming of the girls gym at Sterling High School after longtime coach Nadine Horne, and the Sterling football stadium has been named after longtime coach Al Dennis.
Due to a fire at ExxonMobil, the City of Baytown has issued a Shelter In Place for areas west of the plant and south of 330. This includes GC Service Center, Robert E.Lee High School, Peter E. Hyland, IMPACT ECHS, San Jacinto Elementary, Travis Elementary and Baytown Junior.
