Their shifts are generally 24 hours long. They also have to cook for all crew on shift rather than making individual meals. Stop nitpicking and be grateful for these guys and girls for the incredible job they do.

They live in their respective firehouses when on shift; they cook their meals on shift. They don’t get lunch breaks or dinner breaks, they eat when they’re not out fighting fires, rescuing people. Fully ok to shop when on shift.

I’m not nitpicking…..if they’re not prepared for a 24 hour shift with their crew, they’re NOT PREPARED. Time spent making up for their laziness is not professional neither productive or supportive to the communities they serve for large dollars and with specialized training
