Devastated by my pal Stan's passing. He was a childhood inspiration, an instructor to me when I was just getting started and a genuinely sweet man. Will miss him terribly.
Investing in artists and the future of comics has always been my one true passion and creative calling. Dan DiDio, Silenn Thomas, and I couldn’t be more proud to be launching Frank Miller Presents, which will serve as fertile ground for storytellers and new creations.
Enjoyed doing this commission for a devoted fan, and happy to be celebrating the 35th anniversary of DKR’s release. I asked Maddie here to help but she refused.
Rest In Peace Denny O’Neil. I first became aware of him reading the Batman comics he made with Neil Adams. These stories opened up the wider world of classic adventure for me.
I lost my second father. Neal’s death isn’t just a loss, it’s a call to action. His entire career could be summed up with these words: We have to aim higher. We can always do better.
I hear this just sold. Issue 166 means a lot to me as it was early into my Daredevil run working with my pal

. Think we still make a pretty good team after all these years.
Richard Donner showed us the mythological potential of the superhero. He convinced us of the impossible, and just like Superman did with Lois Lane, he swept us off our feet. Forever grateful for what he gave us and will miss him greatly.
I later had the pleasure of working with Denny from the very beginnings of my career when he was my editor on my run with Daredevil and then The Dark Knight. Learned so much from him and will miss him greatly.

This is the hero’s journey in its most classic form, and I couldn’t be more honored to help bring into this series the romanticism, heroism, and underlying mysticism of Pratt’s creation.
