Some horses are just fun to photograph. None more so than this lad. Special by name and special by nature. Some great photos of him over the years. My best probably what would ultimately be my last ever photo of him. RIP Special Tiara.
In true King George day style, it rained (a lot) as the mighty Enable won a record breaking third King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes under

Sleep tight my hero. Thank you for the good days and for making me fall back in love with racing at a time I was questioning if it was really the career path I wanted to take. There’ll never be another quite like you ❤️🦁

A heartwarming photo for a Sunday morning - owner Andrew Gemmell, who has been blind since birth, in the winners' enclosure with his Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle winner Paisley Park 📸
Master Tommytucker was one of those horses who you couldn’t help but love. Thoughts with his owners,

It was at this moment taking this photo that I ran, convinced Stage Star was coming down and under the rail 🙈 how on earth he stood up I do not know. Clever horse.

Stage Star an amazing thoroughbred 🏇🏼
@CobdenHarry
an incredible horseman 💪
It puts everything into perspective. RIP Keagan. One of the loveliest lads who always made time to say hello at the races. Thoughts with his family, friends and the entire

team. Heartbreaking. 🕊️
There are some photos that you know you love as soon as you’ve taken them. Forget all the racing photos in the afternoons, the mornings were when my best work was produced, and this is my absolute favourite photo of the week.
Here’s my 6 photos that have got me a nomination for HWPA photographer of the year - thank you to everyone who is in them and who allowed me the access to be able to take them! 📸
My parents are radiographers and will likely be part of diagnosis of coronavirus. I asked if they were worried about what’s to come and they both said no because this is what they trained for and what will be will be. I’ve never felt more proud of them than I am at the minute 🙏🏻
Why don’t racing people focus on the fact Hollie has done incredibly well to finish third behind someone who is a world wide superstar with fan bases in many countries, instead of hating on Lewis for winning. Lewis is a household name, Hollie has achieved something incredible. 🤷🏼♀️
Delighted to announce that this season I will be the course photographer at
@salisburyraces
. Big thank you to the team for giving me the opportunity and welcoming me for a look round today. I can’t wait to get started and hopefully it’s the start of a long & happy relationship!
Thank you for all the love after my interview with
@MCYeeehaaa
on
@itvracing
. Definitely something you wouldn’t have got me doing two years ago! Hopefully I didn’t make too much of a fool of myself!
I thought the start of a new month might be a good time to get back on my personal account. To all who supported me through all that went on, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please be kind to each other and remember there’s two sides to every story 💕
Today I had my first day as official photographer at
@ExeterRaces
and next week I start at
@wincantonraces
. This is a huge opportunity for me and one that I'm hugely grateful to the teams at both courses and
@TheJockeyClub
for. Thank you for putting your faith in me 🩷
I’m never going to be able to get back to everyone’s tweets, but thank you so much for all the love. Still in total shock, I went today thinking I had no chance of winning. To win a Derby award 2 years running is something I’d only have dreamed of.
I’m excited to say that tomorrow is my first day as official photographer at Bath Racecourse. I’m looking forward to working with the team there and a massive thanks goes to everyone at the racecourse for this amazing opportunity 📸🏇🏻
Delighted to have been nominated for this year’s
@HorseraceMedia
picture of the year, following on from last year’s winning entry. This year’s chosen image was this one from
@BathRacecourse
. Thank you to all my racecourses and clients for their continued support 📸
So many photos to edit from today and undoubtedly more to share, but here's the star of the show - Roaring Lion. My favourite horse ever. I'm so grateful to
@Tweenhills
for letting me spend some time with him - he hasn't lost his love for the camera!
Okay I’m trying to think of ways I can keep spirits high, and last week was a happy week, so how about tomorrow I share my top 20 photos from the festival? 🏇🏻📸🏆
Apparently I have knives galore in my back. And you know what? I don’t care. Jealousy is ugly and you’re not going to stop me from doing what I do, and doing it with a smile on my face.
My landlord has plated up a whole roast dinner for me and brought it round. And chocolate brownie for dessert. All because I fetched them some milk earlier in the week 🥰
Every time I hear Wicklow Brave mentioned all I can think of is this photo I took of him at Cheltenham in March. He's an absolute dude of a horse. Hard to believe he's still only 10 as it feels like he's been around forever!
Won’t mean much to anyone but I’m delighted to have been accepted onto the HWPA (Horserace Writers and Photographers Association) committee 📸 thanks to everyone who supported me on this 😊
