When I quit drag, I should write a big exposé on all the terrible bitches I had to deal with. Just air out all the misogyny, transphobia, racism, and let y'all know who some of your faves really are😂
HISTORY LESSON!🧑🏫
The Cockettes were an outrageous, envelope pushing, drag theatre group in San Francisco from 1969 - 72. They had many famous fans & performed with icons Divine & Sylvester.
THEY HAD FEMALE MEMBERS.. yes, women doing drag.. before most of us were born. 1/2
Hey, so like please don't call me an afab queen; that's not a thing. I don't need my genitalia pointed out, I'm a drag queen, regardless of what's in my pants. There are few instances it's appropriate. It's also TERFy + I'm transmasc. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
Name a more iconic duo, I’ll wait..
My best friend. My soulmate. The love of my life. My everything. Can’t wait to be together on another planet someday. Wait for me. 🧡
With the passing of Darcelle, we want to share this video from 2019 again.
Walter Cole, the man who becomes Darcelle XV on stage knows who he is. “In order to do what I do for a living, I have to know who I am.”
The episode of Dragula brought up so many things for me. I have fought hard to have space as a drag queen that happens to be AFAB. I have experienced so much misogyny & countless microaggressions. To watch it on TV and it’s happening to someone I know personally?! Oof. 1/5
Instead of directing hate to Maddy, an actual member of the Fayetteville drag community that has a partner also doing drag, direct that energy towards the people who cast her for the gimmick and threw her to the wolves. Hate that the press is focusing on her 1/2
If you feel disrespected by your own drag community, I highly recommend traveling with drag.
Even if you don't feel disrespected, get out there and make some new queer friends, make some coins, and see that popularity in your own city isn't the end all, be all!
I’m not exaggerating when I say Strummer & I did everything together.
If you saw me on tour, you likely met her. She was there for 98% of my shows & most curtain calls. I truly lost the best friend I’ve ever had.
✨We were all blessed to live at the same time as this angel.✨
(something she didn’t ask for) instead of showing love to the multiple trans contestants on the season. At the end of the day, Maddy is a working queen with a love for drag like the rest of us. She’s in on the str8 jokes, but the death threats & hate tweets? Misplaced energy.

Come on now, our disability IS an inconvenience to NT people. Communicate with people that you always run late, keep working on it, or have friends lie to you about the arrival time. Getting defensive and putting words in someone's mouth is not helpful.

Her first public relationship with a woman was in 1989. Somehow I doubt you were even alive then. She has done so much for people living with HIV/aids as well. This is not it.
I hate when drag performers post their show schedule and people are like, OMG MONEYYYYY, like we’re not wearing $300+ in drag for a $50 to $100 booking.
If you've worked in Chicago nightlife, you've been touched by the presence of Jojo Baby. Chicago's OG club kid influenced so many of us & I had the pleasure of getting some of my first drag from him. The world is a much less creepy, kooky, and loving place without Jojo.🕯️
Please support us- AFAB, trans, non-binary, especially BIPOC! We’re dealing with more than you know, just so we can express ourselves as queer artists and entertain people. 🧡
Shout-outs to

for always openly declaring the need for diversity on Drag Race!
The lack of trans queen inclusion is glaringly obvious and not a good representation of drag in the real world.
From being told my drag is “cheating” when I first started to recently hearing, “I used to think women shouldn’t do drag, but I sorta get it now” unsolicited from some twink after the gig when I’m just trying to vibe. It’s a constant elephant in the room. (I’m non binary, btw.)
I didn’t expect to do so much crying watching
@VictoriaScone
on RPDRUK, but the tissues stayed busy.
As an AFAB queen, I never considered I could be on the show. My goals never included it, as it didn’t feel possible.
So proud & excited to watch this shift in mainstream drag!🧡
