God i can't STAND people who view these remakes as a negative thing like this Some of these remakes serve to bring BACK great ideas that Nintendo had basically deemed incompatible with the Mario brand and fans desperately wanted back, but sure, view it as creative bankruptcy.

Today I learned this statue in Sweden was replaced in 2016 with a modern depiction of Mario. That's a shame imo, I think preserving these janky Marios is important to his legacy. They could have erected the modern Mario somewhere else.

OK, I finally did it. I animated 3D Mario using Plane Mode, to illustrate what I always interpreted TTYD's visualization to be a stylized take on. He is transforming himself into paper specifically for those abilities, and is no different from 3D Mario in-universe outside that.

@HexenHeresiarch I think Scott deserves more scrutiny if he is socially conservative (in this day and age there is basically no socially conservative viewpoint that's not problematic) but in no universe is he even close to R*wling levels of bad. Not that I had any interest in HP or FNAF to start
