Not saying it never happened, but during my 25 years in the FBI I was not even aware of a misdemeanor arrest, much less participate in or supervise one. FBI agents didn't work misdemeanor cases.

Now that you mention it, thats a phenomenal mis-allocation of resources. Heaven forbid FBI resources are allocated to significant crimes 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

When I ran an FBI field office we had quarterly video conferences with the Director and his staff. They had our manpower metrics before the meeting. If I was burning resources on misdemeanor cases/arrests, I would have been transferred to Anchorage. (Which was not all bad.)

. CPA's on here said they had never heard of any IRS agent showing up at someone's house ever.
