There's always debate around the value of performance metrics when evaluating players in #FM23 . The way I see it is that attributes are what a player 𝘤𝘢𝘯 do, whereas statistics are what a player 𝘥𝘪𝘥 do. I like to use both. I need quality players but ones who also deliver.

#FM23 tip. By now you probably realise the value at the end of a Recruitment Focus in looking at the Near Matches for more potential targets. My advice is to 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 look in the In Progress tab before the Focus is complete and those players disappear. There are gems in there!

@lfc_down_bad Sure! The Half Back drops deep, as far as CB, splitting the two CBs behind him left and right, but acting as a Busquets-style pivot in transition. The SV is like a B2B midfielder but starting from deeper on the pitch. Late runs into the box but always available to defend too.

THREAD: I've been thinking about how you could quantify a player's intangible defending and attacking contribution to a team in #FM23 . Sure, you can compare interceptions, key passes and the likes, but that doesn't tell the story of a player's indirect influence on a game.
