Only 1% of those surveyed listed "trans issues" as the most important issue facing the country today in this Fox poll.
This is all going to backfire spectacularly on them.
New FOX News Poll shows that a huge majority of people view "families with transgender children being targets of political attacks" as a major problem.
Only 15% of people say it's not a problem.
And this is a FOX NEWS poll!
Y'all, anti-trans politics are NOT popular.
FYI everyone: This is Fox News' polling outfit, not a poll of Fox News viewers.
Fox News polling is actually really strong and has managed to avoid the general political lean of Fox News itself.
That said, it's fascinating to see Fox News publish this.
For those just catching this - I'm an independent journalist reporting on trans legislation and life in the current wave of anti-LGBTQ+ bills moving across the United States.

The problem here is, a lot of the Republicans who say they "don't care" about trans issues actually mean "I don't care about trans people, therefore nothing the GOP does to harm them will matter to me in deciding whether or not to vote Republican"
@ErinInTheMorn
see my worry is that someone is gonna run on the platform of "we're gonna fix the economy and lower inflation" and also mention eliminating trans people, and since those first two are the major issue for people then the trans eradication isnt a deal breaker for them, and they win
@ErinInTheMorn
Erin, trans people are a very tiny minority of the population anywhere. The Republican attacks are a distraction from a bigger attack on human rights in general. Trans people are the proverbial canaries in the coal mine.

On a whole other subject, it’s wild to me that health care/climate change are so low on this list when they’re major drivers for economic/cost of living issues.
@ErinInTheMorn
You'd think Matt Walsh would have a little more empathy for the trans community since he's also in a community that represents about 1% of Americans

It gives me so much hope knowing the weirdos on Twitter here are in a bubble and that the average human could not care less if people want to be happy.
