(serious face) but no seriously the man is a pro at failing upwards so lump on him getting the England job
Less than 2 years ago, I was stood on the terraces at Brentford watching Andy Lonergan do this.
Tomorrow he’s going to start for the European champions in the Premier League
John Stones swanning up the pitch for 90 mins, only to get outpaced by Stuey Dallas the one time he had to do some actual defending. You just love to see it.
My two sisters and I support Leeds because our mum and her two sisters support Leeds. And they support Leeds because my Grandpa knew, even 50 years ago, that football isn’t just for men
Do better
@talkSPORT
When Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk or Richard Branson eventually get to space, they’ll bump into half a dozen Leeds fans already 4 pints in asking what took them so bloody long
Watch for Bamford trying and failing to get Bielsa to come lift the trophy, Bamford going to get Kalvin to come persuade him and Bielsa immediately relenting 😂
A humble man who hated the attention and barely spoke the language but knew a couple of seconds in his presence would give fans a memory for life.
I loved everything about what he made us and I hate everything we’ve become since he left.
In “this is not the Leeds United I fell in love with” news:
Shoutout to the club for opening up Elland Road tonight for the Jewish community to light the Chanukah candles pitch-side 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
A north London pub vandalised with an anti-Semitic slur on the eve of the holiest day in the Jewish calendar but please tell me more about how non-Jewish Spurs fans ‘reclaiming’ this word on my behalf is meant to help
When Raphinha played this pass about 10 mins into his Leeds career, you felt we’d be lucky to get more than a year out of him. He was ridiculously fun, kept us up and we’ve sold him for 3 times what we paid. It’s (unfortunately) about the best you can hope for in modern football
Other club’s fans: Leeds fans think they’ve won the league again. Can’t wait for them to fall apart
Me, a Leeds fan: Well we’re building up a nice cushion from the relegation zone. 8 points clear now.
In light of all the "its still Euro 2020, even though its happening in 2021" nonsense, has there been an official ruling on whether there has been 54 or 55 years of hurt?
How often do you get a Premier league manager turning up on a Monday night out of season, to take a U11's training session.
This is one of the reasons why this man will be classed as a Leeds Legend.

Bielsa made me love football in a way I never knew was possible, made a childhood dream come true and gave me some of the best moments of my life even when the rest of the world was going to sh*t.
The wider footballing world will never understand what he has done for this club.
The academy lad who never got any hype, that took a lot of abuse in the early years, bought into Bielsa’s plans 100% and rejected a PL move to take us home. All while being a lovely, family man and so “Leeds” it hurts.
I couldn’t imagine being prouder and I don’t even know him.
Something very romantic and thrilling *if* Ronaldo returns to

. He’s loved there. He’d influence games. He’d inspire the young players further. He’d create an even bigger buzz around OT. Football’s all about money and personal agendas but this CR7/M16 narrative is different.
The last line of the Gnonto song should be 'He's better than Messi' because:
a) It isn't racist
b) It sort of rhymes
c) It is actually about him being a footballer
d) It is true
Hi
@LUFC
- I think we need some Bielsa content today. Ideally a press conference to announce his new contract where he talks for 45 mins about how well he thought Kalvin did but I’d settle for a picture of him strutting around Thorp Arch in the new training gear x
"An astonishing number of people despise Leeds United or what Leeds United stand for. But this club was never made for them." - Phil Hay
Get it on a banner
Conventional British football wisdom: You can’t come into the Premier League and play high intensity attacking football. Bamford won’t get them the goals at this level and they risk burning out in the second half of the season
Marcelo Bielsa:
Last night we were playing poorly so took off our England international and two Spanish internationals, replaced them with Struijk, Berardi and Roberts and won the game 2-0.
Marcelo Bielsa. We are not worthy.
Personal news - At 25 years old, and with the departure of Kalvin Phillips, I’d like to announce I am formally retiring from “having a favourite Leeds player”.
Chris Wilder, Frank Lampard and Dean Smith all did better jobs than Bielsa last season. But they are English so they are not allowed to be nominated or recognised.
Kinnear and Radrizzani (and Rodrigo's shoulder) have managed to create absolute fume in a fanbase that a couple of days ago was happy with the start to the season and broadly content with the window, if slightly worried about depth at LB/up front. Its almost impressive.

I wonder if at any point in the last year Radrizanni, Orta or Kinnear have had a moment of realisation that, after getting Bielsa to sign the contract, all the success that followed had very little to do with them.
‘Football is for the fans’ and marketing around Elland Road as being ‘The Only Place for Us’ quickly got replaced by ‘these are assets owned by Aser Ventures and we’ll do as we please’
🚨But remarkable Leeds chairman would offer to use club’s stadium as security for potential loan to buy different club. Radrizzani told
@TheAthleticFC
“what Aser Ventures does with its assets… including Leeds and Elland Road.. it's none of your business.”
Leaving his DMs on read was a major moment for 17 year old me in realising that if I don’t even want a Leeds player (even if he was a rubbish one with creepy chat) to chat me up then maybe men just aren’t for me, so thanks Scott xx
The embodiment of everything that changed about Leeds in summer ‘18. From the scrapheap to the first name on the team sheet, connecting with the fans and the culture of the club and shithousing wherever he went. I’ll love you forever, Mateusz Klich
When it’s good, it’s unbelievable. When it’s bad, it’s horrendous. I’d rather have a go and get to experience highs like Wednesday even if we have to have a few days like this than put 10 men behind the ball every week
The allure of the Premier League has completely gone now after the last 2 seasons, so while a promotion push would be nice, I just want to win a few more games, play a style of football that involves passing the ball to each other and to be excited about watching Leeds again.
How can you say “we’re not dicking around with the playoffs” in the summer and then build a squad where by January, at 1-0 down, all you can do is change the left back
Bielsa managing Uruguay to a win in his home country (where many think he is overrated) who are World Cup holders and have only lost once in 51 games.
It'll probably all go wrong eventually, but what I'd give to go back to the start of the Bielsa journey and do it all again.
If this season doesn’t end with thousands of Leeds fans carrying Jansson down Briggate chanting “Pontus Jansson’s magic” then we’ve failed as a football club
Today either ends with a “this Man United victory has been completely overshadowed by the unacceptable behaviour of those Leeds United fans” or an all-time great Gary Neville rant about Man United’s whingebags.
