We didn’t have much possession in the ball but when we had a chance - we tried stay calm on the ball and play it mostly through the middle.
Here prior to Vecino’s goal we made 30 consecutive passe and had 1:27 min of possession.
Lazio transfers 2020:
Muriqi
Escalante
Hoedt
Reina
Fares
Lazio transfers 2023:
Castellanos
Rovella
Pellegrini
Kamada
Isaksen
The difference on paper is visible.
Let’s hope there will be a big difference on the field too.
Sarri-ball.
Look at Ciro - dropping deep in front of our defence to take the from Patric then immediately goes forward to attack Inter’s penalty box.
The result: Inter defenders totally forgot about Ciro’s presence.
Here Di Bello is absolutely ready to stop the play and he is obligated to do it because of a head injury.
In the next moment he turned his head and gave a red card for Pellegrini.
Napoli had 2 mins of possession without crossing the centre line even once before Kamada’s goal.
The first time Zielinski tried a forward pass was intercepted by Anderson which led to the goal.
Perfect zonal marking with closing down the passing lanes.
37%.
This is the lowest possession of the ball Juventus has at home this season in Serie A. Actually only against Chelsea in CL they had lower - 30%.
Sarri-ball.
The best thing from Milan’s game is that we scored goals after certain patterns of passing combinations and off the ball movements - which means the players has fully adopted Sarri’s instructions.
Our first goal came after 19 consecutive passes.
Lazio’s second goal against Milan.
30 passes, 01:28 min of possession of the ball, over-flooding the left wing in order to have space on the right where Pedro and Marusic were 2vs1 against Milan’s fullback.
Guess who is this?
Standing 3 meters away and not seeing the clear diving from
Strootman.
Nope, this isn’t coincidence. This isn’t bad refereeing.
This is deliberately refereeing against Lazio from Di Bello. Through all this years.
Last Roma’s four games:
- VAR red card for Lecce
- VAR penalty against Sampdoria
- VAR canceled penalty for Napoi
- VAR red card for Verona
Coincidence?
And Mourinho stopped talking about the refs, what a surprise
I really hope Twitter won’t delete this post and won’t block again my account for posting Serie A videos but i want to show you Lazio’s defensive setup and mechanisms.
Zaccagni - Ciro - Berardi
Looks good. Too bad they are not italians, otherwise Roberto Mancini would have prepared attacking trio for Italy NT.
Too bad Provedel, Casale and Romagnoli don’t have italian passports too.
40 mln for Tammy Abraham, 17 mln for Shomurodov, 20 mln for Kumbulla.
You accidentally missed those top tier signings.
And yes, Belotti on 4.4 mln a year was a great deal - those 0 goals will multiply next season.
🐺 Roma's business over the past year:
✅ Aouar, Ndicka, Dybala, Matic, Belotti, Svilar and Solbakken for free
💰 Celik for 7.5m, Llorente, Camara and Wijnaldum on loan
Top tier business, and this is before you include their outgoings
My top 6 Premier League prediction:
1. Roma
2. Man City
3. Liverpool
4. Tottenham
5. Manchester United
6. Chelsea
Mourinho’s team is also favourites to win the Champions League this season.
Now this is Sarri-ball. Notice the movement of SMS and the role of Cataldi. The idea is to put the regista in a good position behind opponent’s attacker and with his face towards the opponent’s goal. After that the run from Ciro and through ball from Cataldi.
@NapoliSansone
Osimhen and Kvara both performing at a higher level than Rashford right now.
But PL fans don’t watch other leagues so they don’t know this.
Casale is the surprise of the season.
I can’t believe that this shaky and clumsy Verona defender turned into this.
81/82 accurate passes against Salernitana, 5/5 long balls.
He is calm with the ball, good with passes in tight areas, great physically.
Roma spent 134 mln in the last two seasons.
They are third in annual wages (only Juve and Inter are above them).
Roma have one of the highest paid managers in Serie A.
And still cannot finish in top 4.
Mancini and Ibanez with misses.
It can’t be better.
Fuck, you can’t win a second trophy with disgusting football.
Ibanez has been lying on the field for more time than Roma had the ball.
Last summer I thought Marcos Antonio is great signing.
I thought Cancellieri is a nice signing.
I thought Luis Maximiano will be GK1.
Just a reminder that we should evaluate transfers in the end of the season no matter how good they look.
RomaTV strikes again.
Instead of telling us that Ciro has scored his 9 goals in 24 match under Mancini, they are pointing out that this is first goal since Euro 2020 (which was played in 2021).
But not saying that Ciro has played in only 3 games since euro.
First minute of the game.
Zero communication and sync between Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson.
Zero effort from Felipe to take that ball from Atalanta’s players after the wrong pass.
Luis screaming at Felipe - he isn’t bothered at all.
One of the worst 20 minutes this season.
We couldn’t keep possession on the ball for more than 1 second after Luis Alberto was subbed off.
But we won.
Can’t believe it.
Vedat Muriqi scores against Lithuania = “Very poor opponent, he got lucky”
Muriqi scores four goals against San Marino = “That doesn’t count, he is still shit player”
Kean and Raspadori score against Lithuania = “Best players in the world!”
So three weeks ago people were ready to write the season off because of lack of new signings.
Then Lotito bought some new players and people got overhyped.
Then Lecce beat us and now the season is over.
Lazio fan rollercoaster is unreal.
Those tweets are too funny not to share them.
Abraham stepping up:
Serie A - 37 games, 8 goals
EL - 14 games, 1 goal
“Serious competitor” Belloti:
Serie A - 30 games, 0 goals
EL - 14 games, 3 goals
We already have used to see Sergej running endlessly covering 99% of the pitch but seeing Luis Alberto all over the pitch is something that i love to see.
Now Sarri can really enjoy having two great technically midfielders who can cover the whole pitch too.
This is the best for Lazio but i feel sad and unhappy.
Sergej was so loyal to Lazio that in the end he even chooses the best offer both for club and himself.
Legend forever.
Hope he will come back again after one year in Saudi Arabia.

Random tweet.
One of my all time favourite Lazio’s player.
He wasn’t technically gifted, didn’t have speed or great dribbling skills but he had great understanding and feeling of the game and great vision.
Third man combinations with one touch passes on the wing -> Felipe Anderson to Kamada, Kamada to Cataldi, Cataldi again to Felipe to setup the brazilian with a lot of space to attack Napoli’s penalty box.
Media and Roma’s fans in August: “Mourinho is building a squad to win the Scudetto”
Media and Roma’s fans now: “Mourinho is doing wonders with the worst squad of Top 7 teams in Seria A”
🤷♂️
I wouldn’t sell Ciro even for 100 mln.
He is priceless. He is not only a legend, not only the best striker in history of Laizo but a true symbol on and off the pitch for Lazio and all fans.
We will lose our identity without him.
This is why we are so fucking tired.
Moreover Basic, Marcos Antonio, Cancellieri, Luka Romero etc. are used very little.
Plus Ciro has missed 14 (!) games due to injuries which left us with Zaccagni, Pedro and Anderson upfront.
Imagine a parallel universe where Mourinho’s Roma are on the verge of finishing 2nd in Serie A despite disastrous EL campaign.
Everyone would hail Mourinho as the best coach in history without mentioning EL failure.
Guendozi’s goal should have never i mean really never be cancelled.
VAR should never be used for such things.
I really want to hear the explanation of Colombo why he even used VAR and why he cancelled the goal.
Missed a clear penalty.
Red card for Pellegrini because Di Bello didn’t stop the play.
Red card for Marusic after non existent foul on Leao.
Red card for Guendouzi after waiting more than 5 seconds to whistle a foul on him.
Isn’t this enough?
Roma have spent 21 mln for agents’ commissions. Add to that the wages for their new signings and you will see that actually they have spent way more than Lazio last summer.
But Mourinho was saying otherwise… 🤷♂️
The biggest strength this season is we actually have 22 players that can contribute.
We can rotate players without sudden drop in quality, we can give rest to certain players and we can sub players in that can change the game.
We have never had that luxury.
