@EllenKurz Some newly engaged voters don't appear to think about voting in terms of which PARTY they want in control of lawmaking and Cabinet & judicial appointments. They focus on individual personalities more. And political journalism is terrible at educating on the civics fundamentals.

@EllenKurz Beto needs to get into the rural areas of Texas and really explain/run on the 1st Amendment- separation of church and state- freedom of speech. Win them over by convincing them they don’t have to vote for reds to be Christian! It’s hammered into them that only Pubs can rule.
