If you have critique on the way it's handled, fine. But don't be toxic and force your views on others.

The moments I’m seeing used as examples are all supposed to be horrifying in context; them being criticised for being dark is completely unfounded

Haven't read Berserk yet, but yeah if you're going to experience a story, the writer expects you to know what you're signing up for. This story certainly wasn't made for anyone but Miura himself, that's for sure.

People complaining about the violence and gore in berserk are the same ones praising or hyping it in their favorite anime/manga *cough* AOT *cough* jojo *cough* you can alway tell people that are just being spiteful because they criticize an aspect in one series but not another.
