What's your favorite "controversial" anime scene?
Examples:
The Banquet of Kings(Fate/Zero)
The Ending(Neon Genesis Evangelion)
Anything written by Nisio Issin
"I love Emilia"(Re:Zero)
Declaration of War(Attack on Titan)
@ElijahKaiVA
Are the Banquet of Kings and Declaration of War scenes really controversial? Both are generally considered two of the best, if not the best, scenes in their respective series.
@ShaKing807
Declaration of War could be argued is controversial due to it leading to Eren's change in character, and the death of a certain popular character.
I didn't want to make the AOT pick the ending 😫
@OddJobsDom2112
Constant arguments and debates abour Saber and Rider's views on kingship.
Not to mention constant misunderstandings of both Saber and Rider as characters. It's a frustrating scene to talk about for many people, even if many adore it.
@ElijahKaiVA
Probably still "I love Emilia". By loving Emilia, it is symbolic of Subaru not letting past successes and relationships trap him into complacency. Plus It was Rem that rejected him in the first place. It's a powerful scene imo that's very misunderstood
@ElijahKaiVA
Probably Nia Death scene and the ending of Gurren Lagan in General since I know some people don’t like it. Also the endings of Naruto and Bleach since some controversy. Also not an Anime but I love the “I’m Already Half Xehanort” scene from KHDDD
@ElijahKaiVA
Why is NISIOISIN controversial? 💀 just cuz a scene he has written is culturally inappropriate/unacceptable in YOUR culture doesn’t mean it’s controversial. Through his and Japan’s perspective it’s not controversial at all
