It’s amazing how life comes full circle.
My dad is a huge Dodgers fan and named me after Dusty Baker.
Throughout the years I saw him and he was always nice enough to take the time to say hi.
I told him one day I’d be down in the dugout with him.
Somehow it actually happened.
I’m not even joking, the MLB needs to do a way better screening process of which umpires deserve to be behind the dish. The strike zone in this Dodgers Padres series has been an absolute travesty.
The Dodgers won 100 games in 2023.
The Dodgers won 111 games in 2022.
The Dodgers won 106 games in 2021.
The Dodgers won 106 games in 2019.
In 3 of the last 4 full seasons of play, the Dodgers have had 100+ wins & yet have been knocked out in the NLDS. That is unacceptable.
People on Twitter disgust me. The hashtag
#RIP45
is supposed to pay respect to Tyler Skaggs who passed way too soon. Instead, people are using it as a joke to say they wish it meant Donald Trump had died. Take your politics out of this, it has no place here and it’s sickening.
The Yankees have a 16.5 game lead over last place Boston.
The Guardians have an 18 game lead over last place Detroit.
The Cardinals have a 17.5 game lead over last place Cinci.
The Dodgers have a 17 game lead over second place San Diego.
I was rewatching Dodgers highlights of past successful LA teams and there is absolutely an element this 2022 team was missing:
Yasiel Puig
Joc Pederson
Kiké Hernandez
Rich Hill
These guys all showed significant emotion when playing. It’s something this team in 2022 lacked.
Vin Scully was my hero. My inspiration. He’s the reason why I am in the path I’m in today. We knew this day would come but that doesn’t matter. Heartbroken is an understatement.
Silver Slugger.
Gold Glove.
2-time All-Star.
2017 Rookie of the Year.
2018 NLCS MVP.
2019 MVP.
2020 World Series Champion.
Thank you, Cody Bellinger, for all you did with the
#Dodgers
in six seasons in Los Angeles. 💣
I can tell you after watching this game that Vin is looking down and smiling at you
@Joe_Davis
. The way you’ve gone about business tonight, it’s exactly the way he would have. You’re doing a phenomenal job and I can tell you Vin is proud of you.
The Dodgers are going to really miss having Trea Turner. I don’t know how you fill the void in the lineup he leaves and it’s tough considering he’s going to a team that will be a direct rival of LA in the playoffs. This is a brutal loss whether LA fans want to admit it or not.
The number of big-name Dodgers on the IL is literally astonishing:
- Corey Seager
- Cody Bellinger
- AJ Pollock
- Zach McKinstry
- Dustin May
- David Price
- Tony Gonsolin
- Brusdar Graterol
- Corey Knebel
Here is a map of rooting interest for the TCU UGA game on Monday. It is comprised of rooting interest from geotagging of
#GoFrogs
and
#GoDawgs
as well as other hashtags aligning with the two squads.
28 states are rooting for TCU; 22 for Georgia.

The only way I can explain what this feels like is through the words of Vin Scully:
“That’s the way this game is. You win, you lose, you celebrate, and you suffer.”
Love and miss you, Vin. RIP sir.
I am seeing so many Correa-to-LA tweets on this app. No thanks.
Freeman-to-LA? Sign me up, that guy is a leader, a winner, and a good human being with a great locker room presence. He would be phenomenal in that lineup, especially if Muncy is out for a while.
#Dodgers
1. Mookie Betts - RF
2. Trea Turner - SS
3. Freddie Freeman - 1B
4. Will Smith - C
5. Max Muncy - DH
6. Justin Turner - 3B
7. Cody Bellinger - CF
8. Chris Taylor - 2B
9. AJ Pollock - LF
Chris Taylor, Gavin Lux play UTIL role
#Dodgers
World Series favorites
Clayton Kershaw is a legend.
Perfect game or not, this guy is a once in a generation talent and I’m just so thankful that I grew up watching him and can continue to watch him pitch like this.
Oh, by the way, he’s also a great human being.
1. Mookie Betts - RF
2. Freddie Freeman - 1B
3. Will Smith - C
4. Max Muncy - DH
5. Chris Taylor - 2B
6. Gavin Lux - SS
7. Trayce Thompson - LF
8. Miguel Vargas - 3B
9. James Outman - CF
This is the
#Dodgers
lineup right now.
Cody Bellinger is done. This guy is so mentally checked out right now. Has no plan at the plate and just straight up needs a reset. It may mean he needs to get sent down and fix his approach.
Seeing the Braves parade makes me happy for Atlanta and sad for LA. The only team that got to have a parade during the Dodgers championship season was the Padres.
Something that hasn’t been said that needs to:
This series is proving just how valuable Clayton Kershaw is to the
#Dodgers
. The narrative is that he chokes. There’s a reason why he has the most career playoff K’s: goes deep in games and gives his team a chance to win every game.
Alabama lost. Their best win is Texas A&M. They will most likely not be in the SEC Title game. Therefore, they have no right to be in the playoff. There needs to be standards and I don’t care if they played a “good game” today. They still lost.
Thanks for attending my TED Talk.
@Ken_Rosenthal
Ken, thank you for being such a great role model for all of us journalists aspiring to do what you were able to make look so easy. You are a key inspiration for me and for so many others out there that love baseball as well as telling the stories of those on and off of the field.
Thoughts on the
#Dodgers
future:
- You can’t block kids who are good enough to play (Cartaya, Vargas, Busch, Pages)
- Waiting for the Bauer saga to end is crucial
- Shohei is clearly their target and they’ll write him a blank check
- Roster flexibility is a good thing to have
Dodgers fans that think Bellinger and McKinstry are going to produce immediately need to understand how difficult it is to come off the IL after not playing for as long as they have. Patience.
If Max Muncy is healthy and
#Dodgers
somehow sign Freddie Freeman:
1. T. Turner - SS
2. F. Freeman - 1B
3. M. Betts - RF
4. M. Muncy - 3B/DH
5. W. Smith - C
6. C. Bellinger - CF
7. C. Taylor - LF
8. J. Turner - 3B/DH
9. G. Lux - 2B
You also somehow have AJ Pollock on this team.
Keibert Ruiz either needs to be traded for a key bat or gets brought up I’m tired of watching this Dodgers team consistently underperform at the plate.
There are so many moments Kiké Hernandez had for the
#Dodgers
that were incredibly special. His energy, passion, and love for the game was unique. The man was unbelievably clutch and was a key reason why LA made it to the World Series. Thank you
@kikehndez
. You’ll be missed 🍌
Clutch hits/AB’s for the Dodgers tonight:
Kolten Wong - released by Mariners
Max Muncy - scraps in eyes of A’s
Chris Taylor - scraps in eyes of Mariners
Jason Heyward - too old for anyone
And yet somehow here they are all putting together AB’s for the future NL West Champs.
I love how Profar attempts to bunt to break up a perfect game and then progresses to cry on a slightly inside pitch. That’s truly the weakest thing you will see in baseball.
What a year for the city of Los Angeles.
- Lakers and Dodgers Championships
- UCLA Final Four
- Rams playoff run
- Chargers Justin Herbert Rookie of the Year
- The Angels ... play baseball?
The year is 2016.
Would you believe me if I said: “Mookie Betts, Albert Pujols, Max Scherzer, and Trea Turner will all be Dodgers. Kris Bryant would be a Giant. Javy Baez a Met. Anthony Rizzo a Yankee. Nolan Arenado a Cardinal. Francisco Lindor is bad and is on the Mets.”
It’s so hard to get upset with the Dodgers when they still have a top record in baseball but losing three consecutive games to the Marlins would certainly be a viable reason for anger.
I am so proud of Max Duggan.
It is so awesome how incredibly well he handles himself, how humble he is, and how he represents TCU. Truly an honor to call him a fellow Horned Frog. 🐸

trade appears to be imminent according to sources. Here is what we seemingly already know:
- Lux and May will not be part of the deal, Verdugo most likely is
- Betts AND Price go to LA
- Price’s contract (3/96 M) is the main snag in the deal at this time
Considering he is projected to be a top 10 and even possibly a top 5 pick in the NBA Draft, I asked Rob Dillingham if a loss like this would be motivating to make a return to UK. Here is what he had to say.
#Kentucky
#BBN
Elephant in the Room:
- Every
#Dodgers
fan is absolutely nervous about the Wild Card Game
- Theres pressure since Dodgers SHOULD win the WC Game
- The inconsistency of the Dodgers offense is frightening for a winner-take-all matchup
- Wainwright is filthy, a brutal matchup
Seeing all of these top tier transfer portal players potentially heading to TCU 👀 Sonny Dykes is looking to RELOAD after this season. My goodness, this team could be a problem. 🐸
I’m not gonna sit here and say signing Albert Pujols is something I saw coming. I definitely didn’t.
But would I rather have Pujols than Luke Raley, Sheldon Neuse, or Clayton Kershaw hitting coming off the bench?
Yeah no doubt.
It’s been 4 seasons and I still can’t get over it. The thought of Boykin, Green, Doctson, Listenbee, our stacked D, incredible special teams playing in the playoffs. 2014-2015 TCU is the best Big 12 team of the CFP era. I honestly believe to this day they would have won it all.
To get over the grief, it’s always important to remember the good. Vin offered 94 years of GREATNESS that will last a lifetime. Do me a favor, comment on this feed your favorite memory of Vin Scully, the GREATEST to ever do it.

Best cities for the MLB:
1. Las Vegas
2. Nashville
3. Charlotte
4. Portland
5. Austin
6. Indianapolis
7. Oklahoma City
8. Salt Lake City
9. New Orleans
10. Boise
I know people want Montreal I’m just worried if it didn’t work once if it works a second time.
Here’s a 🔥take for
#Dodgers
fans:
A lot of fans are complaining about trading Verdugo in order to get Betts. Those same fans complained about trading Lux and May which now won’t happen. Verdugo is GOOD. Betts is GREAT. A Top 5 player. You want to win the WS? You make the move.
I guess I’ll stay a little longer!

! Featuring the Louisville-Kentucky rivalry and the Kentucky Derby, I can’t express how excited I am to call this home.
The fact the Dodgers have lost three of the most important players that led to the 2020 World Series title of Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, and Justin Turner just in the last two off-seasons still is hard for me to comprehend
