How To Turn TradingView Into a MarketSmith Chart - [NEW SOLUTION]
I have spent some 100+ hours coding every indicators and made a video to explain you how to do the same with a free subscription plan!
I'm happy to announce that I have integrated recent modifications on the MarketSmith Indicator!
I hope you will enjoy it. This was one of the hardest indicator I ever made.
About 30 hrs coding!

Just updated the MarketSmith Indicator to include the EPS & Sales Table.
This way you can have a clean solution even with a free tradingview plan.
(You can remove it in parameters, tab Style and uncheck 'tables')
Check it here:
TradingView has just changed the number of indicators from a free plan from 3 to 2...
Here's the volume indicator modified to include the EPS & Sales indicator, I haven't taken the time to adjust the script yet
I have updated the RS Rating indicator on Tradingview: 🙃
- Added Optional New Low dots
- Added Optional 21 EMA on everytime frame except in Weekly Timeframe with 10 SMA, on the RS Line
- Possible to color the area between the MA and the RS Line
Just updated the 'MarketSmith Volumes' indicator!
- Added Highest Volume Data (HVE and HV1)
● Highest Volume Ever (HVE)
● Highest Volume In Over a Year (HV1)
- Added the possibility of highlighting Low Relative Volume
- Reorganised Inputs
Check it here:
Just Updated the EPS & Sales Script to display more %variation lines on Sales for IPO Stocks using another built-in function. Now you can access more historical data :)
You can zoom in or out the page (CTRL+Shift) to match what is the best display! (For me 80%)
Updates:
EPS & Sales
-Daily type table available
Rs Rating & MarketSmith Indicator:
-Optional blue dots
-Improved display speed
I'm delighted to announce a major update to the RS Rating indicator!
It should bring you a much more effective scoring system!
Thanks to 'request.seed()' function we can now access auto updated data and provide a much more interesting precision
I updated the 'MarketSmith Volumes' indicator, adding compact, more readable labels as well as a label that shows current volume and calculated buzz volume.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for improving the script, I'd love to hear from you.
I just updated the RS Rating script for it to display a value when the number of bars is lower than the one necessary for the calculation of the result! 🫡

My friend
@BalarezoCapital
ordered me a paying product on Tradingview! 😍
Any idea?

I'd be happy to give it my best shot
A simple step can make the difference!
Today
#IBDLive
discussed my latest research (released at their Founder's Club event)
To make sure everyone had the rules I thought I'd share...
NOT ADVICE & DO NOT USE WITHOUT TESTING 1st to understand the pros/cons
This is a method I developed to help hold a CORE position
@tradingview
Enable us to make a viable Relative Strenght scoring system with a function that allows to compare how the current stock is performing against all the other action (of the US market, or the Indian market, etc) 😊🙏
You can also use the daily updated 'rs_stocks.csv' of GitHub to access RS Rating via Sheets!
Get the daily updated table:
=IMPORTDATA("",",",0)
Find your ticker in the list and the associated percentile:
=VLOOKUP(A2,'RS Rating'!$B$1:$G$7500,6,0)

Thanks! Congrats too for USIC😆
Also if you didn't know I think you can link the extension to the TC2000 you're using: (I don't know if it is still working)
@VLADIMIRSHAGOY1
@anishsikri
@SSalim0002
During these market periods, other trading styles may outperform the methods that work best over time. The key is not to let your style drift
@jfsrevg
@tradingview
Thanks Jeff!!
Thanks to you for the time and effort you put into compiling, publishing scripts and more generally everything you share. 😊
@jfsrevg
@tradingview
Thank you so much Jeff, I'm glad I could contribute to the community and help you.
I would be happy to contribute some more, always open to requests!
I tried to combine two good ways to display MarketSmith bars on TradingView charts by cheating a lot in the code but it is just wayyyy too slow and not that beautiful😅
Sorry guys but we will stay on a fix display!
@Trader_mcaruso
@tradingview
If you are seeking for MarketSmith type scripts, then you should also watch this video as well as the wonderful scripts of Brandon 💪
2) The very good chrome/edge/brave extension of
@HuskyTrader
which can display either SeekingAlpha or Zacks data. But also ADR, Rel Vol, Inst Own, Short Interest:
@SSalim0002
I underestimated the importance of the market environment when trading.
I heard it in your video as a concept, but when you live it, the impact is bigger.
Experience is inevitable 😊
@Triyambak_CA
@finallynitin
He uses 'standard' EPS in his code, I use 'reported' EPS
From what I saw, for the Indian market the best is to use standard wherease for US market it is reported :)
In some names like $SOFI, there is a difference between the 'TOTAL_REVENUE' accessed by () and the 'earnings.future_revenue'. I don't know why, but it can lead to erroneous calculation 🫤
@amphtrading
Thank you Brandon! :)
I used your script to compare bases at the begining, thank you for your precious work.
Also the double bottom can be improve, I didn't add
conditions for distance between legs (bottom)
I would love to collaborate for Cup n Handle pattern 😛
Jules is a friend of mine who started trading only 2 years ago (!) and has achieved a very good return of +42.90% this year.
He specializes in parabolic shorts and is likely to become a killing machine as the years go by!
Congrats Jules! 📊🥳

@Saahisadotra
@RichardMoglen
Thanks for your incredible video Shahid, I love your drawdown approach and so many other tips.
Hope you will be active on twitter as long as possible 😊
@RichardMoglen
For me the best things would be:
- Avoid to repeat elements of the 1st video
- How he handled the 2022 year with NSDQ graph (stayed sidelines, etc)
- How he did expose himself progressivly, what were the element for this
- How did he add to a posittion / average up
(rise SL, TP?)
@StarshipTrade
@amphtrading
@tradingview
@jfsrevg
I've already done this work and concluded that the short volume was different from the number of shares currently held short.
Even if some stocks may correlate, it's not reliable
I don't think it has changed in between
@stamatoudism
@jfsrevg
@amberXBT
If you mean the way marketsmith does, tradingView only let us access the next quarter EPS estimation (Love your TL interview!) for the moment, but not the correct value of yearly EPS.
But you can use the
@HuskyTrader
extension for this purpose
@jqchews
@jfsrevg
This is updated with the sales data which is often delayed.
It should be the correct Quarter as soon as the last sales number is released.
I tried to use the EPS date for it but didn't manage to make it work properly
@hiswetal
That's it
This is an old code, if I remember weel I designed it in a different way than IBD does.
I also included highs and lows with the same formula
@bartt59
If I understand well I think as the first option is RS Line - Plot - Plot - Plot, my guess is that Plot - Plot - Plot refers to 1st Ma - Invisible MA - 2nd MA
The easiest would be:
boolCross = ta.cross(rs, rsMA)
alertcondition(condition = boolCross, title="..")
(to add in code)
@CountBlum
Unfortunately it isn't possible to screen the market with Pine Script.
On the other hand you can find an IBD style RS ranking, more accurate than my script here:
@RichardMoglen
I've watched it soooo many times.
Best way to learn how to avoid drawdowns!
Still waiting for the second part of this incredible interview!😋😉
@liv_memes
I think this is a better solution, for now the script doesn't appear on every chart (eg crypto) that causes the entire script (candle included) not to appear
It is temporary :)
@RichardMoglen
And as many practical examples as possible.
I think people need examples.
I also think that Shahid should do less work this time, as the theory has already been largely covered in the first video 😄
@MutanteXeneize
Unfortunately results differ from one timeframe to another, TradingView's pinescript code doesn't offer a good function () to get the same result from one TF to another 😅So I choosed to display the result only for the TF it is calculated, in Daily
@BalarezoCapital
Unfortunately it isn't yet possible to screen the market with Pine Script, but we should ask TradingView for it!
Here is a good RS kind of rating updated daily, more accurate than my script
For my Paypal, private message?
@rohaninvestor
The RS Rating is for US market only, it compares the current symbol against 6600 US action, even by changing the comparative symbol by an Indian one it won't help 😅
