If next week's Doctor Who finale doesn't feature a musical number with Sutekh chasing the Doctor & Ruby through a bunch of corridors Scooby-Doo style to the sound of The Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian" then I'm out.

So why was it NOT OK for 14 to pop into existence wearing 13's non-gender-specific clothes, and yet it WAS OK for 15 to appear wearing most of 14's clothes? Except the trousers?

This exchange gives me the chills. It shows that the Doctor is neither a ‘Chosen One’ nor a divine gift for a universe that needs saving. Instead they’re an abductee, now face to face with their kidnapper. Brilliantly written, superbly played. #DoctorWhoFlux

There’s a brilliant philosophical exchange between the Doctor and Azure in Flux Ch6 which reveals a little more of the Ravagers’ nature and motivation. It casts more light onto the power and reach of the Time Lords and it’s really something…

Whether it’s to your liking or not, Doctor Who: Flux is an extraordinary story. It’s fun, it’s epic, bombastic, fantastical, whimsical, explosive, it’s sad, funny and tragic, it’s complex yet simple. It treads on philosophical ground whilst staying accessible & action packed!

Mind you... This is a typical Disneyfied London isn't it? Technically the landmarks you see are in the right order, but if you were standing where Ruby is, neither Tower Bridge nor St Pauls would be quite that big/ close. And Tower Bridge would be hidden by the bend in the river.

Whether you think #DoctorWho ‘canon’, ‘lore’, ‘mythology’ or whatever you want to call it is either sacrosanct or a playground for the current producers to have some fun with, it’d be a far nicer fandom if we could all respect each others’ feelings towards it. End of speech. 😁

The Doctor & the TARDIS is the only real constant in #DoctorWho , and even that is fluid. Change is built into the DNA of the show. So it always surprises me when people subscribe to a single rigid idea of what Doctor Who is & then get outraged when things, you know ‘change’.

So Azure & Swarm are fighting to restore primal Time to its unbound nature, free of the Time Lords. Doing this will destroy all matter in the universe. They’re happy with that. However, as the Doctor says, the universe depends on balance - of both space and time.

I love the fractured storytelling of Once Upon Time. It’s a neat device used in contemporary fiction & popular thrillers. It makes you work at the story & here it imbues the story with unease as memories are intermingled with nightmarish discrepancies.

So this is where Flux picks up the story. One of Time’s agents brings a notable Time Lord into its orbit, the very same Time Lord that flipped the switch back in the day of that final battle. “Trick or treat, Doctor…”

@talkRADIO @TVKev @virtualash DW has always stood for positive moral virtues & has always supported oppressed, marginalised societies & people. It has always commented on current political/ societal trends & has always been scathing towards tyranny & prejudice. So maybe these guys were watching another show?

My wife is always telling me to “Chuck shit out!” But if I did that I’d never have rediscovered this super #DoctorWho merch from 1986 in my loft...

Physical things move in one direction towards entropy, from which state nothing can be retrieved or reassembled. Time’s arrow moves EVERY physical thing in the universe towards this state (as far as we know).

Even things which exist in quantum realms need a measure of time if they are to be observed, even if they travel across time forwards, backwards & sideways at their leisure. Time still has control of them. It has control of everything. Happy time!

@IanLevine Everyone? I think the current show is excellent. A lot more intelligent than you give it credit for. You my friend DO NOT speak for everyone.

Today my daughter and I watched 'The Return of Doctor Mysterio' which we both thought was a fun, lighthearted romp with energy and heart. (It also means we've come full circle, since the first Doctor Who she ever watched was 'The Pilot') What do you think of 'Mysterio'?

Stenck informs Karvanista that his race has been wiped out. This is followed by a moment in which two skilled actors, both wearing hefty prosthetics, deliver an exchange that needs no words. Stenck knows how Karvanista will feel & he wants to see the warrior’s response. Brutal…

@TheWhoDivision Like... why should he? Would he 'unwrite' The Deadly Assassin, The War Games, The Five Doctors, Silver Nemesis? It's out there, it's part of the show's rich tapestry and imo it's the best thing 21stC Who has introduced to the history and 'canon' of the Doctor.

Almost forgot… Anyone remember all the speculation about this nightmare house first seen in the opening to War of the Sontarans? I remember hoping it was Lungbarrow - and it kind of is… in a metaphysical sense…
