I never pray for a specific candidate to be elected, praying instead for God's will and plan. Right now, that would include praying against any fraud or corruption and praying for a spirit of truth and righteousness to prevail. Surely, all of us can agree to pray for that, right?

It's absolutely true that the Republican Party puts much more emphasis on God and biblical beliefs than the Democratic Party, but we must remember that our hope is in God and His Word, not in a party.

Here's how to know if you hold to replacement theology (even if you call it by another name): If you believe that promises once given to physical Israel (aka the Jewish people) no longer pertain to them but now apply to all believers in Jesus, that's replacement theology.

Let's keep things simple. I live for Jesus. I vote for the president. My message is Christ crucified & resurrected, not Trump elected & reelected. I'll die for the Lord. I pray for the president. Only one captivates my heart & mind, & He sits enthroned in heaven, not DC.

Just think: There are lots of warnings in the Bible about being too worldly, too fleshly, too double-minded, too cold, but not a single warning in the Scriptures about being too devoted, too committed, too passionate, too in love with the Lord.

The coronavirus is causing upheaval around the world, with normal life getting completely disrupted. But this is only a minor tremor. One day, God will shake everything that can be shaken. Are we ready? Only those in right relationship with Him will stand.

Now that CA Gov. Gavin Newsom has temporarily banned singing in worship services because of COVID-19 (seriously!), I bet one of the most sung choruses this weekend will be, "Raise a Hallelujah," with the call to "Sing a little louder in the presence of my enemies."

I am militantly pro-life and pro-marriage and family, as per God's order and plan, but I am not militantly pro-Republican. I vote Republican because I strongly prefer their platform to the Democrats, but I absolutely do not put my trust in a party. Big difference.
