If you look at 49ers season objectively, they got beat by Colts, Cards, Titans (by 3) and Packers (by 2). All 4 are tier 1 teams. If not for 2 flubs vs. SEA and 1 vs. a Murray-less AZ, they would be 12-4 right now. They are easily better than their record shows.

Just a reminder that re-signing Trent Williams and signing Alex Mack in the off-season have changed the 49ers O-line from slightly above average to very good. 49ers could well have top 5 rated lines on both sides of the ball by mid season, if they continue on this track.

Lance goes down, JG steps up. JG goes down, Purdy steps up. Lose starting CB, both DTs, RB1, key backups, still find a way to win. 3-4 start to potential 13-4 finish. If there was a gut-check award for resiliency in the NFL, the 49ers would get it, hands down.

Adding Joey Bosa to the 49ers roster would definitely be a win, but it’s only going to happen if he takes a low base, high incentive deal. But it’s a once in a lifetime chance to play with his little brother and get a chance at winning a SB together. So who knows. Weirder things…
