A third of all voters declare themselves open to voting for a party led by Nigel Farage.
The metropolitan progressive elite is so far removed from ordinary people that they don't have a clue about the anger and resentment that is building.
@DerrickBerthel1
Like all despots, the elite imagine they can ride the anger, quell it - and perhaps they can. But if they're wrong, things could get rocky very quickly, and in ways that are impossible to predict.
@PaulSmyth2015
In a FPTP political system the hurdle rate is higher but once the newcomer consistently polls higher than the incumbent it very rapidly becomes the incumbent where votes are wasted.
@DerrickBerthel1
Suppose this has legs.
And magic Grandpa gets a new lefty party up and running and X% of labour vote for it?
The election would start to look like a very interesting 4 way battle.
@DerrickBerthel1
Impossible to pretend that the far right state capture is not happening in the UK. Once it happens the consequences under the FPTP system will have disastrous consequences...or they will just go back on their word like their european buddies
@DerrickBerthel1
Fortunately the fascists would need more than 33% to form a government. In the real world under FPTP they would be lucky to poll 7% in a GE.

Just to mention that Public First - the group behind these figures - isn't a pollster, but a PR firm advising & promoting various right-wing causes & organisations. Its staff have worked for the TaxPayers’ Alliance, Vote Leave etc; it has strong links to the fracking industry.
