One of our snow teams clearing a runway today with over 20 pieces of equipment including plows, brooms, liquid deicers, blowers and sand trucks. They can clear a runway in 15 minutes, one of the fastest times in the world!

So this happened --> Airbus #A380 landed at DEN for the first time. The aircraft diverted for a medical issue and used our 16,000 ft runway for landing and takeoff. We have gates to accommodate an aircraft this size, so we’re ready when an airline wants to begin A380 service ✈️

Where does all the snow go? 🤷 DEN uses 8-10 melters to help crews remove large amounts of snow from the ramps in about one day rather than over the course of several days. This powerful machine can melt 600 tons per hour.
