I tried the adoption route for a new dog. Found one that was up for adoption from a local blacksmith. It didn't last, as soon as I got home the dog made a bolt for the door. π€·ββοΈ

At my parents in my basement bedroom. Lying in bed and the sounds of youth come flying back. The water heater and furnace kicking on. Softener at 3 a.m., footsteps above, and water faucets turning on/off. I wake and I'm 10 years old for a moment and all is right in the world.

Just received good news today. My dad who is an Air Force veteran was invited to take part in one of the honor flights to Washington D.C. this May. I will be going along as a "guardian". Excited for him!
