Loooong thread: Every reason why the Armorer is the spy who betrays Bo-Katan, Din Djaran, and even her own people in
#TheMandalorian
.
Gideon knows the Mandos are planning to retake their planet, which the Armorer suggested they do, even though they'd just been given a new home.
Reminder that after their own real-life wedding, two Obi-Wan and Satine cosplayers got married in character, and the ceremony was performed by the characters’ voice actors. This is the epitome of saying “I reject your canon and substitute my own” and I’m so here for it! ❤️
"Satine always presented herself with dignity, wearing floral-inspired hairstyles & colors reminiscent of rich foliage. Her appearance was designed to remind her people that their world had been one of lush forests & jewel-colored lakes before war turned Mandalore into a desert."
@TheCriticalDri2
Give me a break. You would say that Leia was unlikeable and rude if A New Hope premiered today. Little Leia is the exactly in line with Carrie’s portrayal.
The fact that the final shot of Obi-Wan in The Clone Wars (after he tells Ahsoka that the Jedi Council isn’t always right) is him standing in front of Satine’s empty throne is my Roman Empire.
Katee Sackhoff revealed that the cast of
#TheMandalorian
was told the Jedi at the end of Season 2 was Plo Koon ... and honestly, should we have expected anything else from Dave Filoni??
#PloKoonLives
Whoa. I’ve always headcanoned that Ahsoka’s Mandalorian tunic was Satine’s but … it is.
I just realized whole outfit is modeled on/inspired by the concept art of Satine’s beskar.
Bo gave Ahsoka her sister’s tunic and parts of her armor to retake Satine’s city.
Matt Lanter named his dog Ahsoka and I think that's the cutest thing I've ever heard. I'm just picturing being his neighbor and hearing Anakin Skywalker running around after and yelling at “Ahsoka!”
Consolidating controversial statements
- Ahsoka is a Jedi
- Anakin would have fallen if Qui-Gon had lived
- Grey Jedi are incompatible with SW
- The Bendu shouldn’t be viewed positively
- Thrawn is a villain
- Bo-Katan has already been redeemed
- Satine was right about everything

Her mother was 14 and the queen of a planetary system. By the time she is 19 she’s already a senator. She’s been highly educated and trained well. Plus, the implication is that her ability to read people probably comes from her Force abilities. She’s allowed to be precocious.
Animation is not a genre. It is a method of storytelling.
- Brad Bird
Animation is a medium. It’s a tool to make art, not a limitation to the story. Animation is not for kids & it’s not inferior to live-action. If you’re unwilling to watch animated Star Wars, you’re missing out.
I'm tired of people giving Owen crap.
Obi-Wan gave Luke to the Lars. They couldn't have children, and he was their miracle baby.
Owen is a good man. He has every right to want to protect ten-year-old Luke from the dangerous life Obi-Wan's represents.

Watch The Mandalore Plot. When Satine sits on the throne it lights up and makes a shimmery sound. It’s very intentional that the throne lights up for her and no one else.
A thread of
#TheMandalorian
timeline shenanigans:
Bo-Katan can't be as young as Katee says & here's why:
Ep 3.02 gave us some new revelations about Bo's family, namely her father, Duke Adonai Kryze.
Specifically that Bo swore the Creed while "her father looked on proudly."
It's possible to like Dave Filoni ... and still criticize him.
It's possible to spend an episode with a great big smile on your face ... and then criticize something about the ep.
It's possible to have huge criticisms ... and still love Star Wars ❤️
#TheBookOfBobaFett
I see we’re back to criticizing female leaders in Star Wars for everything that goes wrong.
Lina Soh & Satine Kryze & Mon Mothma built cultures of peace and villains sought to destroy them. Bad things happen to (and after) good leaders.
You’d just rather have an authoritarian.
@rPrequelMemes
Guys, you need to chill out. This is a joke about Din taking center stage in Boba's show. It's not official. Kenobi's episodes aren't even titled. Din is like ... 19 at this point and Grogu is Force knows where.
Because Dave Filoni, who wrote *both* Rebels Ahsoka and BoBF Ahsoka, doesn't take "I am not a Jedi" as being a literal or permanent manifestation of how Ahsoka views herself.
Okay. Reminder that Satine Kryze is the only one who instinctually knew the Clone Wars was a zero sum game & refused to participate which is why Palpatine wanted her dead
The fact her story ended in tragedy does not make her wrong. Pacifism was the answer to TCW, not the problem
It’s funny that throughout TCW, the storytellers were consistent that when Satine’s on the throne, it lights up, but it’s dark when Pre or Maul is on it, but there’s never an explanation as to what it’s reacting to.
Shoutout to Katie Lucas who at 17 was given the opportunity to write an ep of TCW ("Jedi Lost") & then went on to write some of the most iconic arcs of the show, including those related to Ventress & the Nightsisters, Maul's Return, Fives' & the Inhibitor Chips, & Dark Disciple.
Like many other Star Wars movies, Solo gets better with time, but Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, & Joonas Suotamo are not the reason it was poorly received.
I’m very upset by Kathleen Kennedy throwing actors under the bus, presumably in justification of soulless deepfake tech.
Kathleen Kennedy says they learned from ‘SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY’ that getting a new actor to replicate any of the OG characters is near impossible.
“Now it does seem so abundantly clear that we can’t do that.”

Who is a technically non-force-sensitive Star Wars character who you think has a moderately high midichlorian count or is otherwise more in tune with the Force?
Also, at the risk of mixing religious imagery, I'll point out that there are *13* scouts (not counting Grogu), which means that the dinner they have is the equivalent of the Last Supper, with Bo as the Christ figure in the center of the 12 disciples, including Judas.
We should talk about this. In S3, Padme says even talking to a Separatist is forbidden out of fear of justifying their claims; in S4, they’re having official peace talks on a neutral planet. Padme & Satine were determined to end Palpie’s war; they really were his greatest threat.
"Morgan Elsbeth. During the Clone Wars, her people were massacred."
Theory that Morgan Elsbeth is a member of the Ming Po, the tribe Ahsoka saw Death Watch slaughter in TCW S4. If true, it's likely Bo-Katan's actions as a member of DW will be brought to light.
#TheMandalorian
What is *that* thing in Star Wars for you? The thing--a film, episode, character, culture, object, a reference book, a particular shot, etc.--that just gets you *so* excited! The thing that you could give an impromptu half-hour lecture on? The thing you can't help but gush about?
The way these two would have been the third iconic Star Wars animated couple (along with Obitine and Kanera) if their story had been animated like it was supposed to be.
@rPrequelMemes
The meme is dumb. We know nothing about what happened to Korkie after TCW S5 (19 BBY). In Mando S2 (10 ABY), Bo-Katan implies that he may be dead, but that's 30 years after the last time we saw him. Even if he is gone by then, there's no reason he can't be alive in 9 BBY.
This is why theorizing about this show comes to nothing. There is no greater plan.
The Armorer is just a cool-looking set of armor that bonks people on the head.
That's what Emily was hired to do & she knows nothing more than any of us ... because there's nothing to know.
Emily Swallow on the secrecy for the Mandalorian-
"You have to make stuff up. It’s so secretive that to really get into the mind of a role, you have to make stuff up because they’re not going to tell you anything."

The Armorer has always known a great deal about Mandalorian history and culture beyond the cult, but also about more current events related to the Purge and Moff Gideon's role in all of it.

Anakin knew that Obi-Wan loved Satine and lost her. I headcanon that it was that knowledge that made the idea of losing Padme even more real to him. Obi-Wan lost Satine, but Anakin was not going to lose Padme.
From a rejected Clone Wars concept to Legends to Canon:
Obi-Wan’s post-Order 66 alias came from the name given to him by Satine Kryze. For all the years when he wasn’t “Obi-Wan,” he was her “Ben.”
The kid's name is Omega.
Probably a clone, especially given that we see other clones who use Greek letters as designations. Rex's name was originally Alpha before it was changed. That feels symbolic.
Alpha is the beginning of the Greek alphabet. Omega is the end.

Star Wars fans: when you first watched TFA, whose child did you want Rey to be? Was the question of her parentage something that intrigued you? Or did you not care?
Yet she has rarely shared any of that information with those who follow her. Instead, she has taught the only that those who are not her followers cannot be trusted, even if they claim to be Mandalorian.
@StarWars_Direct
a) Kathleen shouldn't be dictating this.
b) GL has literally said (some) Jedi are not celibate.
c) I don't think Obi-Wan was sleeping around when he was an adult, but I don't think that precludes what may have happened with Satine.
d) Filoni believes in Korkie Kenobi. So there.
