I do want to put context on this panel, since it makes the rounds a lot. The story itself, from the 2011 Waid run, is dark. This individual panel is played off as a joke. The page right before it gives it context. But him even putting on the sweater makes me laugh.

@fredistreese I mean yes, Daredevil comics are pretty dark. And this, with context, is in itself dark. But it doesn’t mean that there can’t be funny moments when their character is in another book. I mean, here’s a blind joke in a She-Hulk run. Characters adapt to their surrounding stories.

After a 2nd watch, I have to say that I really enjoyed #TheMarvels ! It’s incredibly enjoyable, fast-paced, charming as hell, and wildly creative. Beautifully unique in direction but absolutely not perfect. The silly parts grew on me with 2nd watch. Can’t wait for the 3rd! 7/10

Episode 2 of #WhatIf is easily one of my favorites they’ve ever done. The team aspect hit hard, the characters they chose were great for the time. A young Hope+Peter dynamic was enjoyable and uncovering more on Hank was well done. More importantly: I want more of this universe.

#WhatIf Season 2 is a step up from the first season. Better stories and scenarios. But it led me, in the end, asking “What If they went in a different direction?” One that would foreshadow events coming in the grander MCU. Incursions wreaking havoc. A coulda, shoulda, woulda.

First episode of #WhatIf is really cool. Almost a 180° on the What It premiere from Season 1, where we see a slight tweet to a story we already know, this takes one change and sets up a whole new landscape. Marvel does Bladerunner? Sure, but make it Nebula.
