I think the biggest thing Yamato denires have to contend with is that the official professional translators for the anime, the manga, and the video games would have had to individually and for no reason randomly decide to use he/him and masculine titles
This thread will be this account's official statement regarding Yamato, Why he is a man, and why the arguments used to say he isn't go against canon and are almost all rooted in transphobia. 🧵
Ivankov turned to the camera and gave a speech about gender abolition and there are still fans who are transphobic. It wasn't a gag, it wasn't a speech from a villain, it was a queer character saying who they are and what the Newkama are.
I am not sure of the cultural significance of the masks, but I feel like this is an interesting parallel. I see this and the bath scene as Oda comparing the 2 characters in order to make it even more clear what Yamato's identity is.
This is not a debate, one side lacks media literacy and knows nothing about queerness, usually they are also biased against queerness. It's like saying there is a debate on whether the earth is flat, people argue about it but it's not up for debate.
@Evildyke40k
No this person just happened to be trans and didn't know it, ivankov transitioned a homophobe who tried to shoot her with a rocket launcher and he didn't like it very much so it's not that they by default are cool with it
Meanwhile in Canon that Oda (the god of that world and creator of that character) wrote:
How about actually reading the manga instead of trying to make Sanji into your OC whom you then bastardize?

I would never use AI to generate an image, if an image is really low quality I will use an upscaling program to make it look more sharp but on none of my accounts have I ever posted any content that was not official one piece stuff.
In this thread, I touched a fair bit on why the people who argue that Yamato is not a man use ethically and logically flawed arguments and non-canon material that does not even prove their point, This will be part 2 where I do a queer analysis of Yamato 🧵

No one queer character represents all of the queerness in One Piece, so choosing a PFP for this account is tricky. So let's do a poll, these are the 4 options, poll in the comments.
Possibly Oda's biggest L, very disappointing, we have seen the way he draws 16 year olds which was bad enough, but to depict a 12 year old this way, especially when he retroactively decided she was a kid, something he did not have to do at all...
Oda had no excuse to make Bonney a minor if he was just gonna draw her like this, literally could've kept her an adult. Hell is beyond hot for that man.
