TCU had no Derius Davis, lost Quentin Johnston and Kendre Miller, saw Max Duggan fighting for his life, had plenty of self inflicted wounds, and still managed to win that football game. If anyone doubts TCU belongs in the CFP race after that one, you’re fooling yourself.

TCU QB Max Duggan went through a head coaching change and lost his starting job this past offseason. He decided to stay. He seized an opportunity when it came his way. And he's now headed to NYC. What a journey for that young man.

What TCU did to Iowa State yesterday still probably isn’t being talked about enough in the context of the ISU defense. The Cyclones — even after that drubbing — end the year averaging 20.25 ppg allowed and rank 8th nationally in total defense. The Frogs went out and hung 62.
