If I took all the negative comments about policing to heart I probably wouldn't get up in the morning and go to work but someone once said to me the silent majority are behind you and appreciate and care about what do for us and that trumps all the negatives. Proud of what I do!

This is Jon, 16 years ago today he left his wife and baby daughter at home to go to work, he never went home! He paid the ultimate price protecting the public. Past him in the corridor that fateful morning, had a laugh before I headed home. RIP PC 5584 Jon Henry, never forgotten.

Well that was unexpected! Taking some items for testing at the lab when an HGV decides it wants to share my lane, minor damage to the car but HGV failed to stop! Will no doubt have a shock when he's told he hit an unmarked police car! Thanks to Northants for turning out.

My mother loved the royals! she was unwell in hospital, I was due to visit but we had a job on the go, I delayed saying I would go tomorrow! Tomorrow never came, she died, I never got to say good bye because of the job. I'm sorry mum x 15/12/15. Make time no matter what.

I wanted to become a police officer because of Yvonne Fletcher, I was 13 and saw the news that fateful day, her family and friends spoke of the kind loving person she was. I didn't know her and never met her but I hope I've done her proud. I will continue to do my best.

Just so everyone knows, no officer was asked to stay on and complete the 19 hour shift but like me wild horses would not of dragged us away! Securing the charge is the first step in securing justice for the victim and that means everything to the team.

Dear all, in regards to the case of Sandel Hornea which featured in the first episode, I will not go into the finer detail, he received an 11 year custodial sentence with an extended licence of 5 years #24HoursInPoliceCustody

A relatively easy shift for the team, we took over a job from the day team so they could get off so they could spend some time with their families and loved ones and we got the charge and remand we were all looking for.

I've been on a course for 2 days but woke this morning hearing that two of my team pulled a 23 hour shift in order to secure a charge and remand! How many other jobs expect this commitment? And dont forget they are expected to log on at some point today to complete todays duty.

So in 6 shifts we have charged and remanded 3 people 1 for GBH (16hrs) ,1 for robbery + burglary (18hrs shift) 1 for SOA breach, dealt with numerous suspects for PWITS and DV matters plus other reports but according to the media we are lazy! Poor journalism me thinks.
