Crash's Landing & Big Sid's Sanctuary rescue at-risk stray cats & provide them with safe shelter, vet care, & love until they are adopted into permanent homes.
2 ½ year old Chino is a sweet and happy cat! He likes to be held and will purr his heart out as you walk around with him in your arms. Chino tilts his head to the side when he is curious about something, and it is just too cute!
[Available for adoption after 8/22]
From Dr. Jen and Brian: It is with a shattered heart that I tell you that we had to send Finian across the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈
His poor body was riddled with cancer. (1/6)
Cravensworth has a very gentle demeanor, loves people, and is just an all-around super sweet boy. He would do fine in a home with or without another cat and is mild-mannered enough for a family with kids. He is a really good boy!
We let Rickety Cricket go this morning. He declined dramatically within the last two days. My husband Brian spent some really good time with him last night. We discussed Rickety Cricket's future, and we both agreed that we knew he wasn't gonna get any better....
You gonna open this door or what?
Fishsticks is one of our newest residents. He is 3 years old and is FeLV+ and FIV+. He is settling in well and getting to know all of his new kitty friends! Adoption ready after 12/20/23.
Big Cheese had not been feeling well for a couple of weeks, and the meds didn't seem to be helping. Sadly, Feleuk was getting the best of him. With the help of Dr. Jen, he was able to cross over the Rainbow Bridge peacefully. Run free, Big Cheese. 🌈❤️
Magda had a setback. She is vomiting, has diarrhea, and is not eating well. It all started yesterday. She lost a half a pound that she can't afford to lose. Dr. Jen has meds on board to help. Please send good vibes her way. She has worked so hard to get this far. ❤️
Wayne Newton is such a distinguished little gentleman. He would love nothing more than to find a forever home with his best buddy Wailin' Jennings.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Franken Stein this week. He was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma upon arrival back in October 2023. He encountered serious complications this past week, the kind his body could no longer fight, so Dr. Jen let him go peacefully.
It's safe to say that new rescue McGraw is feeling very comfortable with us. Napping away without a care in the world. ❤️
[Available for adoption after 2/23]
Meet Outlaw 👋 His cheek chub will dissipate over time as 5 years of testosterone stops surging through his body. Now that he is in our custody, he is rather enjoying his 'sentence', which offers him 3 squares a day, a comfy bunk, and a warden that spoils him.
Meet Rickety Cricket! This 14-year-old old guy needs all the positive vibes he can get. He has a long road ahead of him, but as long as he keeps fighting, Dr. Jen keeps fighting along with him. ❤️
Meet Ringo Roadagain! 👋4 year old Ringo is very sweet-natured, tends to hang out by himself, and enjoys his own company, but LOVES and thrives on human attention. He would do best in a quiet home. Isn't he adorable?!
After being with us since September 2022, our sweet boy Chowder found his forever home! We are so very happy for him and his new family! Happy tails, Chowder! 🎉
Smelly Cat has been patiently waiting for just the right family to come along. He’s one of our more playful and sweet-mannered boys, and while he enjoys life at the shelter, he would love his own home for the holidays. 🧵

The recent passing of Twitter kitty friend
@StrayLiotta
(L) was sad to many. A few days ago, Stray’s humans found a kitten on the highway & brought him home. Tiny paralyzed Mad Max (R) also left this world today. These two lights of the internet world are now together. 🌈❤️
After being returned to us, we are pleased to announce that Marlo got a much deserved second chance. We couldn't be happier for her and her new forever family! Happy tails, Marlo! 🎉
Meet Chowder 👋
Dr. Jen: I think you can all understand why Chowder is one of our cutest, albeit quirkiest looking cats: it is those CHEEKS! It is also his crooked little smile and charming upper lip curl that we find mesmerizing ; his face truly brings huge smiles to ours. 🧵
Rickety Cricket update: He has definitely found his favorite perch to hang out on. He still squawks me like an old smoker when I give him his meds, or if we have to pick him up to move him. He's letting us scratch his belly. Yes, he actually is getting a belly! ❤️
Sweet senior Jowly St. Nick is looking for a forever home. He wants nothing more than a lap to snuggle into to lounge hours away.

Rescuers Shirley and Tony had the purrfect adopter for Flattop Jones: Tony's best friend from college! Tony traveled all the way from Virginia to Michigan just to adopt this special boy. Flattop hit the jackpot with Tim and his wife Amber!
Look at this handsome boy! 🖤
Upon arrival, it was discovered he’d been living with an extremely painful condition, stomatitis, which affects the teeth and gums. Every single remaining tooth in his mouth had to be removed. 🦷 (1/2)

Our sweet boy Drake Ramoray has been diagnosed with a terminal illness (lymphocytic leukemia). We will celebrate each and every day he is here with us by completely spoiling him with lots of love & attention. 💙
14 year old Arlene would love a home for the holidays. She would make such a fabulous, gentle companion for someone who is home often and is looking for a snuggle buddy. Visit our website to learn more
Tis the season for holiday plants! If you do choose to bring any of these plants into your home, be very careful about where you are placing them. Cats especially need to be considered, since they can jump to high shelves. (1/4)

Eggnog tested a very faint positive for Feline Leukemia upon arrival, but she was also very ill. Upon retest a month later (and verification through our outside lab), we are thrilled to say that she is NEGATIVE for feline leukemia!
Adoption pending 🎉
Meet Anchovy 👋 Anchovy is such a great cat with a very gentle demeanor. He loves being around people, enjoys attention, and can't get enough belly rubs. He is either birdwatching in the window, hanging out in his favorite cubby, or curled up in a soft bed sound asleep.
Meet My Cousin Vinny 👋 We would love nothing more than for 5 year old, FIV+ Vinny to find a very quiet home with only one or two people, one where he can go at his own pace, and come around when he is feeling brave enough. He really is a very sweet-natured boy.
Meet Michael Scott!👏 Michael is pretty close to being the perfect cat. We can say confidently that Michael would do well in any type of home. Other cats, a dog, or kids would be awesome for him. Get your apps in as he will be ready for adoption around April 25th! (1/2)

FIV is ONLY transmitted from one cat to another by deep puncture wounds. It is NOT spread by casual contact, so grooming, sharing food bowls or toys, using the same litter box, play-fighting, snuggling, or being on the receiving end of a sneeze poses absolutely NO threat. (1/2)
2 year old Daz gets along great with everyone and has never caused any trouble. He can be a bit timid at times, so a less active household would be best for him. He is very sweet, enjoys playing with toys, and LOVES his canned food!
Einya stopped to pose for a picture. She doesn't let her blindness or Feline Leukemia status stop her from living her best life! And, c'mon...check out her cute lil thumbs! We're in love! 😍
This is Fjolla. She was rescued from freezing to death in the snow during the really bitter cold snap we recently had.
Dr. Jen is currently treating her avalanche of critical issues. Considering she survived the frozen tundra, all bets are on Fjolla.
Simeon has been adopted! His adopter renamed him Merlin. He has two dog brothers named Goose and Maverick. We're loving the Top Gun theme! Happy tails, Merlin!
Jowly has left the building! He was a Bring-Home-A-Brat-Cat program eligible cat. Sharing space with our other residents wasn't his cup of tea, so you can imagine how incredibly happy we are for him to have a home to call his own (minus 25+ other cats!). Happy tails, Jowly!
Tewkesbury has left the building! 🎉 He was a participant in our Forever Foster A Feleuk Kitty program. We're going to miss our cross-eyed boy, but we're so happy he has a home to call his own. Happy tails, Tewkesbury!
Punxsutawney Phil is FIV+ and only has 2 teeth left; he had a really rough life prior to his rescue. He isn't ready for adoption at this time, but just because he isn’t brave enough to come out of his shell quite yet doesn't mean that we don’t want to show off a pretty face. 😉
Officer Big wanted to thank everyone who sent him some yummy tuna! He is settling in and getting used to his new surroundings. He's currently in his own room until he acclimates. Then, it will be time for him to meet the rest of the crew!
Fishsticks wanted to show off his glorious whiskers in honor of

3 year old Fishsticks is both FIV+ and FeLV+. He is not available for adoption yet.
Lil Jon has been adopted by our very own Assistant Shelter Manager! Lil Jon put in his best effort since Lila started 8 months ago, and needless to say, his persistence paid off! Congratulations, Lil Jon and Lila! 🎉
Fishsticks has left the building! 🎉 He was one of our Forever Foster A Feleuk Kitty program eligible cats. He quickly settled into his new home, exploring his new surroundings. We're so happy for him and his new family! Happy tails, Fishsticks!
Charlemagne is still quite shy and loves to watch the world from way up above on the air vents. He does not have one mean bone in his big fuzzy body. He LOVES to have his chin and head scratched. He doesn't mind being combed and enjoys people.

Mark wanted to adopt from a rescue organization, and his daughter recommended Crash’s Landing as she is a top fan of ours on Facebook (shout out to all our top fans!). After talking with Mark, it was apparent that he would love and spoil his next cat unconditionally. (1/3)
Rickety Cricket made a trip to Feline Wellness Center today for a recheck. Here's a summary of his clinic notes: Explosive, liquid d+ 💩 started yesterday afternoon; he makes it into the box, but it is FOUL! He also has lost his pudgy belly and has actually lost weight....
Maize has left the building! 🎉 She was a participant of our Forever Foster a Feleuk Kitty program. She is such a fun, snuggly girl, and we just know that her new foster family is just going to love her. Happy tails, Maize!
New FIV+ guy Bumbercatch is making himself right at home! He came in with a nasty bite wound on his front leg, but he allows us to treat and monitor it like a champ. He’s such a good boy!

Meet Corwin 👋 This 7 1/2 year old FIV+ guy is not only super stunning, he's super friendly too! He is very gentle (with the exception of a soft love bite here and there) and had a history of cuddling up with the 2 little girls of the family that rescued him.
Aoife found a forever home with one of our very own volunteers! She settled in right away and instantly became the queen household (rightfully so 😉). Happy tails, Aoife!
Meet Fremont (again)! 🐾 He was adopted into a home, but upset the balance of existing kitties there. No worries, he has settled back into Crashs with his usual charm & chill! Fremont loves the volunteers. 😻

Cravensworth has a home for the holidays!
"I thought you might like knowing how wonderful Cravensworth is doing. He now goes by Ranger. He has fit in with our family very quickly, and we just love him. Thank you for trusting us to give this special boy the best home and life."
Lila brought in a paper bag for the cats to play in. As you can see, it was a hit! They had such a great time playing in it!
