Sad times as another established club ( Brixworth reserves ) fall by the wayside. Long gone are the days where you worked all week, and the most important thing was footy on Sat afternoons and then a beer after with your mates. Where’s the commitment gone !!

Well yesterdays cup tie was eventful for all 35 mins of it. Never seen a team dive and cry so much (no it wasn’t Bugbrooke), we went 1-0 their Lino tried to flag it off, ref overruled him. What happened next was embarrassing, their manager took his players off and game abandoned.

Don’t often share my wins on this account as it’s my football clubs account. But I deffo think this deserves a share, put this one on after 78 mins when I seen Coleman had about 3 tackles and nouri 2 fouls, and up against each other. Everton pushing, job done.

Got a call from S&L 1sts yesterday at 11.30am to see if we wanted a game with them. Like us their opponents didn’t fancy the trip to Corby. So we got a squad of 13 together between 1st and res, went up there and prob put our best performance of the season in winning 4-1.

£10 for a transfer fee is fucking daylight robbery. 100% increase. £5 last season, and it’s all done online including the notice of approach through the WGS. Transfer forms sent via email. What admin is actually involved with this, all the work is done by the secretary🤷‍♂️

Locos made it 13 straight league wins with another top away performance, this time overcoming Weldon 12-0. As I’ve said previously it’s not nice winning games by big margins against struggling teams, we have all been there at some point. Big push now needed with 5 games left.

Locos bounced back on Sat as we put last weeks 2nd half disaster behind us with a well earned 1-0 home win v @SprattonFC Missed chances 1st half could have been costly. Veteran striker @_stephen_84 sealed the points with the only goal of the game. MOTM was also deegan

Locos presentation today starting at 2pm in the hart. Going to be a good day / night with £1500 behind the bar. Bottles of spirits as normal instead of trophies always seems to go down well. Hopefully the weather stays good as it’s all in the back garden. BBQ and cup final.

@AndyWimpress Game has been dying for years, the younger lads, and the ones coming through now are a different breed. Football isn’t their most important thing on a Saturday anymore. I wouldn’t then as a player and now as a manger at 52 miss a match, I put to much hard work in during the week.

Perfect performance from the Locos tonight as they beat @CorbySnL1st 7-1. We were at that from the start and it was just one of them nights. Leading 6-0 at half time. Well done also to the 3 or 4 lads that stepped up from the reserves. A good night for all involved with Locos.

Locos fantastic season continued last sat as we claimed 2nd spot and promotion to div 1, while only using 26 players all season. Tiny chance of winning the league if we beat unbeaten at home Bug B, and Wollaston lose their last 2. It’s never over till the fat bird says so.

The locos put in a good team performance on Saturday against Oundle Town at home, winning 3-1 and progressing through to the next round. Was a good test for the lads against a team from the Peterborough League. Goals from ⚽️ Josh, Finnegan, Ferris.

So tomorrow we travel away to Medbourne Fc in another very tough fixture. ( Think the fixture secretary is stitching us up here haha ) After last weeks away win at Spartak confidence is high, but the hosts themselves are going well, so this should be a cracker.
