It's crazy because our daughters are young, but kids are so perceptive & they grasp what's happening (more than some adults). They are worried about their mother & I just tell them "Mommy is helping really sick people to get better & she's a hero." Fuck, this shit is so damn sad.

Given the sophistication of this #Hamas attack & reports of Israeli hostages in #Gaza , I don't think #Israel will be satisfied with bombing targets in Gaza. The Israeli response could include a ground invasion and soon look to Iran, which means there are real risks of escalation.

We're going to hear a lot about how the #BuffaloNY terrorist was a "lone wolf." But this term can be misleading. The terrorist may have acted alone, but he also radicalized & emerged from a far-right ecosystem that is far more entrenched & pervasive than most would like to admit.

Not all high-value targets (HVTs) are created equally. This was a big one, a longtime jihadist veteran and al-Qaida leader with a lot of American (and other) blood directly on his hands. The world is a much better place now that Ayman al-Zawahiri is no longer in it.
