DM’s are cool, but I’m legitimately evaluating all film 📱 from individuals who submit our questionnaire:
Also, if you want to compete in front of our staff, in-person & against others we’re recruiting, sign up for Prospect Camp:
As an assistant at the small college level, you learn to do everything. Recruiting, basketball ops, player development, scouts, run camps, etc.
Embrace it!! Even though, some people might turn away after seeing your polo, plenty of coaches understand the work you do!! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
REST IN PEACE to 16-year-old Bryce Brooks of Atlanta who died after heroically jumping into the ocean in Florida trying to rescue four younger children that he didn't know from drowning. The children survived.
Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Conversation with recruits:
Recruit - Do you offer full scholarships?
Me - even better, our school is “tuition-free” & you are paid a full-time salary
Recruit - *crickets
I’m done fighting the verbiage 😂. Yes, we offer “full scholarships”. All students receive them
As a high school kid, it’s harder than ever to get recruited by a college (transfer portal, COVID year, etc.)
I appreciate the high school & AAU coaches who have been GRINDING/reaching out to college coaches nonstop.
Here is my advice for 2023’s ⬇️
Kayden Micheal Kee made his entrance into the world Wednesday, April 20th, 2022 at 3:54am. So excited to be a father! I look forward to the journey with my son!
Love the facilities we have in place at Randolph College ⚫️🟡
The unique layout of the gym will make for a really loud home environment ‼️
The locker room as well as the entire building went through a massive renovation in 2020
Truly a home court advantage 🙌🏽
Chinle High School’s gym might be the best one I’ve seen at the high school level
#BasketballorNothing
What are some other really cool high school facilities?!
#AThread
D3 Hoops in Virginia is on another level. Schools have talent, facilities, staffing and tremendous resources in comparison to a lot of other places.
High-level basketball 🏀 for sure!
🏀 Year 11 as a college basketball coach.
🏀 Year 5 as the head men’s basketball coach at The Apprentice School ⚓️.
Blessed to still be living out my calling on life. Excited about this year’s group‼️

Can’t thank
@GoBuilderSports
enough for taking a chance on a 26 year old 1st time head coach
It’s been an incredible run‼️
I look forward to giving my all to
@TrackTheCats
as their 3rd 🏀 Head Coach in program history!
My yearly tweet as the Division 2 🏀 portal is starting to take off.
As you look for a new home 🏡 , I know of a place where all students are paid a full-time salary 💰(guaranteed a career), while earning an education/learning a trade 🛠⛓⚓️ &playing high-level basketball!
We’ve gotten a lot of DM’s from potential recruits. We can’t move forward without a transcript! And it needs to be a transcript with B’s & A’s in math and science! I’m sure your film looks good, & I’m sure you’d look good in a workout...but, none of it matters, without grades!
It’s been a very special resurrection Sunday. I proposed to the love of my life 💍, and she said yes! Best recruiting job I’ve ever done. We have a wedding to plan!
#TheKeetoLove2020
…
I can relate to only needing “1️⃣ shot”. As a 20 year old, seeking my first coaching job, I emailed just about every East Coast college basketball program from D1 to D3. Probably only got 5 total responses, but 1️⃣ of those 5 was from Christopher Newport Univ & the rest is history!
A lot of interesting discussions about JV Basketball at the college level. As somebody who coached a JV team when I was a GA, I fully understand the value it adds to the student-athletes participating & to the University. Interested in having a civil discussion about this though
This week will be bittersweet. Officially wrapping up my 7 year tenure at The Apprentice School on Tuesday, then heading to Randoloph for visits & 1st Team Meeting Wednesday
A lot of blood, sweat & tears at Apprentice over the years. Can’t thank my players & coaches enough 🙏🏽
I’ve touched down at Randolph College ⚫️🟡
Thankful to the school for assisting with an amazing living arrangement for the next few months.
We’re excited about the 6 recruits that we’re hosting this week 😎
I know they’ll love the views as much as I do 💯
One of the biggest advantages of being an assistant at the smaller levels of college basketball, you get to learn and do everything. At 2 of the 4 schools I was an assistant at, I was the ONLY assistant. Scouts, recruiting, player development all positions, etc. Learned it all
All credit goes to our staff, players and administration.

🚨🗣️Attention Class of 2024 & Undergrad Transfers:
Randolph College has an innovative curriculum design called “Take 2”
Students take 2 classes at a time for 7 weeks. NO CLASSES on WEDNESDAY
Gives students an opportunity to really focus on school 👨🏽🎓 and basketball 🏀

🔑
25’s, you may start hearing from coaches after this weekend.
I want to let you know what makes Randolph College unique:
⚫️Take 2 classes here at a time. No classes on Wednesday!
🟡Compete in the best conference in D3 (ODAC)
⚫️Lynchburg is an amazing city
🟡Up-Tempo System🏀

#GoBuilders
Recruits will drop that film on ANY post!
😂Baby announcements, engagement posts, etc. Doesn't matter!
I'm not mad at it though! Guys are hungry for an opportunity. Definitely something we value as coaches. I remind my guys everyday how fortunate they are to have a roster spot
Plenty of Non-D1 head coaches (D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO, USCAA, NCCAA) could be successful as D1 Head Coaches.
As a small college head coach, so much of our time is spent away from our programs, doing other things to serve the school. Small colleges also have less full-time assistants
We’re projected to have 8-10 seniors on next year’s roster 😯
Class of 2024, we have opportunity ‼️
Bringing in 6 high-character and talented guys this class.
Looking forward to adding some youth to the mix 💯
Last night’s win over MACU was career victory 75 as Head Coach at The Apprentice School.
Crazy to think about how much of a struggle it was to get to Win
#1
(Which was against MACU as well)
Thankful for all players & coaches who have accompanied me on this journey ‼️
As a coach, is there any worst feeling than going over a play in scout, calling the action out as it happens and seeing one of your players still get plowed on the screen for a bucket 😂.
#ScoutingProblems
Heard Hubert Davis mention in his recent interview how coaching JV at UNC helped prepare him for the position he’s in now.
Truly thankful to have been able to lead a JV program at Elmira College. As a 23/24 year old, I was able to run a practice, implement a system and coach
Major respect to people who worked their way up with no handouts… Especially in the World of athletics.
Working through the trenches and getting it out of the mud takes a different level of hustle.
With that being said, I truly pray 🙏🏽 that my son doesn’t have to.

D1 🏀 Poll
Just like D1 has tiers (low-major, mid-major and high-major), the same can be said about the D3 level
Virginia/North Carolina have ELITE D3’s
Truly looking forward to the challenge ahead 💯
Had somebody the other day ask if “we offer scholarships”. Fortunately, we don’t need to! Our school is FREE and all students are PAID 💰. You add an NIL deal to your full-time salary here, and you’ll really be in good shape!
At The Apprentice School, you make a full-time salary, play in big-time college basketball (in a nice arena), and you set yourself up with a career for life. No other school offers the same package! 🏀 💰 🔧👷🏽♂️
As I enter year 7 at The Apprentice School, I’ve finally got an office with a window 🙌🏽.
Also, I’ll still be the Head Men’s Basketball 🏀 Coach, but will no longer be serving as Associate AD.
Been a solid run, but I look forward to assisting the admissions staff here full-time
Have had a lot 2023 followers DM/follow me recently and want to put out some information on our school (The Most Unique Opportunity In The Country 🇺🇸 )
Follow the thread ⬇️
🗣️ Starting pay for next year’s freshmen/transfer class is $21.74 an hour. In 4 years, the rate of pay will be $31.46 an hour for students enrolling next Fall.
School here will still be tuition-free ‼️
No need to take out Thousands in loans. Attend school for free and get paid!
Excited for the opportunity to Coach this group in the Portsmouth Invitational this week.
We are team Portsmouth Partnership and are scheduled to open up this Thursday 💯
Some of these D1 transfers looking for a home, should really consider The Apprentice School 😎. We’re still legally paying student-athletes. $17.34 an hour 💰 in your first year, and over $26 an hour your last year. DM’s are open haha
We have been granted 3 “recruiting spots” by admissions this year.
We’ll be looking for 1 big, 1 6’3+wing and best available after that.
With only bringing in 3 this season, it will be highly selective!
If you haven’t been evaluated yet by our staff, please DM
Apologize to any Coach or prospect that I’m slow getting back to. My DM’s are flooded , which I appreciate!
We still have the privilege of playing and competing for a National Championship! Currently in our Final 4…
We will be in touch though 💯
Routine reminder, in addition to competing for championships 🏆, attending The Apprentice School includes the following perks:
⚓️Free Tuition
⚓️Full-Time Wage (Starting at $21.74/hr)
⚓️100% Job Placement Rate with Opportunities for Advancement
⚓️ Knowledge of a Skilled Trade
One of our sophomores just purchased his first home 🏡 at 19 years old!
What other school affords you that opportunity other than The Apprentice School? ⚓️ 💵
Means more than any win… Seeing our players become successful men each day is our WHY
My face when I’m telling recruits that they have the following opportunities at The Apprentice School ⚓️:
🟢Attend School & Earn a Degree for Free
🟢Make a full-time salary
🟢Have a guaranteed high-paying career upon graduation
🟢Compete for championships & play at a high-level
As a recruiter, we value players from winning programs!
Truly important to find players who are willing to sacrifice some personal accolades or accomplishments to win.
Ultimately, winning breeds more accolades than putting up solid numbers for a losing program
#MajorKee
🔑
It’s realistic to get 2,000 made shots per week in the offseason.
Want to improve your shooting percentage, get in the gym and get up game speed reps.
Simple
Easiest way to move up a Small College's Recruiting Board? Apply to the school!!
Shows proactiveness and moves you further ahead of your peers in the admissions process.
Best of luck to all Division 3 coaches starting practice tomorrow! I know sleep will be scarce tonight. Players always come with the energy day 1! Find ways to keep that energy going as the season goes on. 1 of our goals this year will be to be as consistent as we possibly can
Turning the page to 2025 recruits next week 😎
We’ll be looking for all positions
⚫️Need individuals ready to win in the best D3 conference in the country
🟡ELITE shooters
⚫️Athletic bigs & wings
🟡Have to be able to defend 94 feet
@CoachDroop5
With a program that requires all students to work/be in class 40 hours a week , it can be tough to add basketball on top of that.
I give major credit to this group of seniors for sticking with things which included a coaching change, COVID & countless other obstacles 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
As the Live Period begins today, I like to be transparent with what we are looking for🏀⚓️:
Post Players - Can never have enough on a roster! 6'4+ that move well (able to switch screens), are greedy rebounders & are vocal defensively. Bonus if they can hit 3's consistently
All 5️⃣ of our 2021 recruits 🏀 ⚓️have officially started as of 7am this morning! As they sit in orientation, they are currently accumulating $18.87 an hour 💰. We are excited about this extremely talented and high-academic class that we have enrolled
Embarrassed tonight… I had not received a technical foul since 2017.
That streak was also broken today, as I was ejected in the 1st half . I preach composure & poise to our guys & I let the magnitude of today’s game affect that.
Learning lesson. It won’t happen again
Being in a position of leadership is lonely (Coaches, AD’s, school presidents, CEO’s, politicians, supervisors, etc)! Just had a conversation about this yesterday. Impossible to please everybody. Just have to stay confident in your beliefs and do your best to serve others!
Trying to explain college coaching salaries to individuals who don’t work in the field is fascinating 😂. They just can’t fathom how different it is than any other industry.
I do hope for the sake of those coming up, that salaries begin to fully match the hours spent working
Placing the gear order in April this year was a cheat code. Half the stuff came in already!
Still waiting another travel suit, shirts, practice gear and pants.
Thank you
@BSNSPORTS
for keeping our guys geared up!
When I got promoted, It was an easy decision for who was going to be tasked with keeping this moving forward! Couldn’t be happier for
@timothy_sparks
. He’s been in the trenches with me since Day 1 and I can’t wait to see how the Builders looks this season
High school seniors, if you have a scholarship offer and like the school/program, COMMIT! With the NCAA rule changes, this surely is not the year “to hold out for better offers”. A lot of scholarship-level players will end up without one.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, as all these NCAA scandals are breaking, The Apprentice School is still LEGALLy paying our student-athletes! $17.34 an hour is the starting salary! Come here and start your career!
Love this team!
Redeemed ourselves from last year’s conference tournament championship loss and got one today 🏆
Proud of each individual on our roster for finding a way to get it done!
National Tournament up next. We’re going dancing 🕺!!
Testimony: I prayed 🙏🏽 to God & asked him for a sign. He gave me the answer & I passed on an opportunity.
Over the last couple of months, I’ve went back & forth in my head about whether I made the right decision or not… He proved to me today why I shouldn’t ever question him
🚨 Coaches, it’s a special moment to get a head coaching job. You’ve worked hard for it.
Make sure you have your plan on paper though for the first 30 days‼️
If you haven’t given it much thought, the rush can be overwhelming. It’s a 100 mile per hour sprint!
I have no problem with recruits exploring options, but our class will be done by April 🤷🏽♂️. Only bringing in 3, so if a decision isn’t ready by that time, we have to move forward
Low & mid-majors that pull off upsets have elite shot makers. The 3 is the great equalizer against taller & more athletic programs.
If you can shoot the 3 at a high-level, you give yourself a chance in the recruiting process
