has done some pretty remarkable things this year for
@Vol_Baseball
. But tonight, he accomplished one more thing! He got his old ball coach to get in some Vols gear and travel to Knoxville! Love ya kid! Iโm proud of you.
I just emailed all the members of the TSSAA Board of Control and shared with them my opinion. If you are a high school coach in Tennessee you should do the same.
Today we laid my 13 year old niece to rest she battle the past year and a half. Knowing my brother, her father, was there to welcome her home was comforting. Prayers for my sister-in-law the next few weeks is a appreciated. The stength of that woman is unbelievable.

Proud of this team & fight they showed today. To the seniors, you will always have a locker room at USJ. To the returning players and future Bruins, letโs get in that weight room where iron sharpens iron, letโs get better and letโs get back to Cookeville!

Donโt like your HS Coach, transfer. Donโt like your playing time, transfer. Donโt like your travel team, jump ship. Donโt like your role, quit. What on Gods green earth are we teaching our kids? Stop it, Be Resilient, Plant Roots and Fight, Learn to Compete!
Parents when you allow your child to play sports, you allow someone else the right to discipline, critique, challenge and be honest with them. Youโre not helping them to progress in the sport or life, if youโre interfering in that process in any way.
How many times have you heard โthatโs not my job?โWhen you see someone who needs help or something that needs to be done, but you walk away instead, that yells laziness. Do not be part of the problem. Doesnโt matter whoโs job it is, help others. Period!
@GreenWavePride
A coach should encourage and support each student athlete to play other sports. If they have a player who is capable of making two or three different school sports teams, why would they ever discourage that?
Rankings, pre-game predictions, all the that โtalkโ, and message boards are fun, but it really doesnโt matter until you buckle up that chin strap, and decide your own fate under the lights!
Adversity comes in many forms. Every setback, every quarantine, every penalty, every heartbreak, every defeat contains its own seed, itโs own lesson on how improve your performance the next time. We will get back to work on Monday and we will improve.

I can see the look in your eyes as you grab your keys. The look of exhaustion, the look of "I miss my family." We know you're tired and we miss you terribly, but we also see the work you're doing. We see You in their excitement and their Will to never quit!
My son, along with 23 other of his buddies decided to either rededicate there lives or to get saved for the first time at the FCA Captainโs Camp. Proud dad moment!
A lot of people get knocked down and don't have things go their way. And you never give up hope, and you really just hold on to it. Hard work and perserverance. You just keep getting up and getting up, and then you get that breakthrough.
Even though it didnโt turn out the way wanted to, Iโm so proud of this team and how theyโve grown as individuals. Stay tuned, the next chapter will be even better.
There are two things that separates football from every other sport.
1. Anyone can make the team
we encourage as many to play as possible regardless of athletic ability we don't have tryouts.
2. There are 88 possibilities for a member of the football team to get on the field. 88!
TEAM CAPTAINS: Leadership is more than a title, position, status, talent, or having a "C" next to your name. Leadership is an action that moves your team forward. A leader helps their teammates to be their best. A leader makes others better. A leader is a positive influence.

go mash on Super Bowl Sunday!
PSA: Parents need to behave better at youth basketball games, and those who think they can do better job refereeing 3rd/4th grade basketball should volunteer, put on a whistle, and get after it.

had his high School baseball number retired tonight in Scotts Hill. Iโm happy for him, honored to have coached him, and possibly taught him a little along the the way. Love ya kid!

If you're on a team, that means you are a part of something much larger than yourself. At times, you will be on the bench... you have two options. You can either sit & wait your turn or you can be active & engaged in helping your TEAM win!

These ladies have punched their ticket to the TSSAA Cross Country State Championship on Friday November 6th at Sanders Ferry Park in Henderson, TN. Congratulations girls!
Travel ball parents, do me a solid don't tell your kid he sucks, makes my job easier when they're older. Its ok if your kid sucks, but try encouraging him, help him, but donโt put him down.ย How's he supposed to grow if the people who gave birth to him tell him that heโs no good?
If you do not like discipline, if you are opposed to structure, if you are offended by constructive criticism or resistant to coaching. Why would you ever play sports? Oh and another thing, transferring is not going to make better.
To all players, I love you guys! Thank you to all the coaches, parents, administrators, trainers, faculty, staff and Bruins that helped make this season special. Thank you to the dedicated coaching staff who share their time and enthusiasm for teaching and coaching young men.
At USJ students are going to get one of the premier educations in the country here in the city of Jackson. Athletes are going to be playing for coaches that love them and want to build them into better husbands, better fathers and better employees. Winning is just a byproduct
Hard fought game by our
@USJbruinsoccer
team tonight! Sadly we came up short against BGA 1-0. A huge thank you to our seniors for dedication and leadership!
Keep in mind that the biggest, strongest, fastest athletes in 4-6th grade are not always the biggest, strongest , fastest in 10-12th grade. Youth coaches keep working and teaching all the ones that want to learn and play. You might be amazed at who they become.
Huge shout out the Gallatin Football Moms Club for taking care of feeding our boys after varsity games and before JV and Freshman games. Also for taking care of the varsity coaching staff on Sundayโs!

It was awesome to see all the players, parents, and student body helping out last night after the game by picking up trash and bagging up the garbage. Much appreciated!

The majority of your biggest critics in life will lack the talent, ability or knowledge to do what you do, therefore never allow their criticism to affect or phase you.
You are responsible for your effort.
You are responsible for your attitude.
You are responsible for your mindset.
You are responsible for your unselfishness.
You are responsible for what kind of person you are.
Own what you can own.
Be great without being high maintenance. Show up on time, wear the right gear, be coachable, pick up your teammates & give 100% every time you practice or play. High maintenance is hard. Coaches love low maintenance dudes who buy into the process. You are what makes coaching fun!
We know there is power in numbers, so we need all prayer warriors to lift up our sweet Kaylee... God is our healer and we know he can do mighty things!
@holly_stroup
Treat everyone with respect. That D2 D3 or NAIA coach you just blew off is giving you an opportunity. Be grateful that any coach is reaching out. There are lots of players who would love to be in your shoes. Talent is one thing but an athlete whoโs humble & respectful is another.
Free advice to all parents of student-athletes: Your Son/Daughter does not need another friend or fan. They need a parent. Love them, be tough on them, demand accountability, teach them how to respect others and themselves.
