This is one of those topics where it all comes down to semantics and how you learned it/remembered it. This is how i think about the different iterations of Zone Tracks, I'm very curious to hear others points of view on the topic.

Trips Coverages I Know Trips checks vary greatly from league to league so these are just four of the most frequent ones i hear about/see. Curious to hear what's most common from other coaches. I know for a few people Cover 1 is a common one to see.

For all my Gap scheme people. There is so much merit to committing to one or two schemes and really trying to master them/protect them/dress them up. Here is GT Counter and just some of the ways you can run it. - Change Personnel - Change Backfield Action - Mess with the Read man

One of the things i love to hear about from coaches is how they fit multiple plays into one read scheme for the QB to keep things simple. Ole Miss does a great job of this in their Deep PA Shot plays. All of these fall into a Top-Down (Hi to Lo) Read Progression for the QB.

Had some free time during my prep period & started drawing up variations of smash. It's a concept i either love or hate depending on the day but there are a ton of ways to dress it up and this isn't even getting into stacks/squeezes/swaps and outside route variations.

While i also love me some Gap scheme, Inside zone has to be my favorite scheme because of the versatility you can have with it. You can use this scheme in a run heavy 'option' attack or use it in an RPO type attack. The lock scheme can be great for very pass heavy teams as well.

Still one of the coolest RPO's i've ever seen, from @CoachOsovet Pre-Snap QB Reads the B SAF -If he doesn't move throw the Swing Route If the SAF pushes with the motion - The QB reads the WLB -- if the WLB carries the Seam route, QB Run it --- If WLB doesn't carry, throw Seam

Was talking with a Coach on the Coach Huey forum about Jet Power vs Jet Counter Read I prefer Counter Read for the following reasons ILB's react to Jet Motion, DE's don't ILB's will tip their reaction pre-snap, DE's won't I think the read is easier for the QB

Based off of my previous two posts. This is an Inside Triangle Read. Purpose is to put the two Inside LB's in conflict - Create a 3-On-2 Stretch Lot's of concepts fit into this read system. Another perk is it keeps the QB's eyes consistent (Flat OTB Flat)

Similar to my last post, this is about simplifying reads. I call this a Scan progression, the QB scans his eyes from LT to RT or RT to LT. Routes break into the QB's vision. Most would probably call this a 'Pure Progression Read'. Another Read family that can hold many concepts.

Was great to hear @NzoneFootball at LA Glazier this weekend talk about teaching the QB and thinking about how to learn the game. I took a ton of notes, but here is a synopsis of a good amount of them.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the coaches who have reached out about the custom templates. One of the cool side effects of having people reach out is I get to toy with these templates more & more and get better. Here's one I just put together

I put this together a while ago Cov/Uncov guys don't give me flack because my rules don't match yours, i had to try and make them make sense to me. I like the simplicity that this method can provide, but it's probably not my favorite method for teaching Inside Zone

Complimentary play to base Mesh Good vs teams that want to squash crossers - If they expand with crossers on the Pivot it will pull open a huge hole for the Hunt Route Same🔺read as the base Mesh Rail and the Pivots are great vs Man

92 aka Mesh I/S Triangle family Best out of 2x2, to put the WLB in conflict to carry the Hunt or Squash the Shallow Can work out of 3x1, especially with a Wing/TE Still tinkering with it.

Just wanted to give an update on the Briles Project. The film has been cut up (will probably add more). Diagrams are drawn up. My goal is to get it all done over the Christmas break This doesn't show the section on the Kiffin variation which is also for the most part done.
