A few days ago my Dad was playing Mill 1on1 at our house and tripped and fell. Real bad fall, hit his head hard and was unconscious. Been at UK hospital since. Vitals are good but had a skull fracture and some brain bleeding. If you are the praying type, please say a few 4 us 💙

Turned 41 years young today. Got more energy and passion than I had when I started as a 19 year old coach. Age is just a number! Blessed and thankful for all my friends and family. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Just found this one. It was the day he graduated and was so proud. When I said we need a selfie he said “You always wanna take some pictures.” You are right Kel. And I’m glad I did. It’s the only thing helping right now. But makes it so hard when I see that smile of his. 💔😢💙💪🏽

My Grandfather, James G. Bordas, just passed away. 95 years old. WW2 Vet. Golden Gloves Boxer. Father of 9, and was married to my Grandmother for 3/4 of a CENTURY! Lot of great one on one talks. So glad I was able to FT him on his BDay Sat. RIP, and give Gram a hug for me!

Requesting some prayers for my Dad 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 He was rushed to ER yesterday morn, and then moved to ICU. He has pneumonia and is in septic shock. Not much has changed since yesterday. Doc says he is sicker than he looks and feels. He is fighter, but could use prayers. 💪🏽🙏🏼

Dad no longer in septic shock!!! Doc said he was couple hours away from dying if he didn’t come in when he did on Thursday. Gave him a 40% chance of survival at that time. Will keep him in ICU another day or two. Headed in the right direction. Thanks again for the prayers! 💪🏽🙏🏼💪🏽

I’m so proud of our @BryanStationBB team. We had a great season that ended tonight with a close loss to the #1 team in the State. We don’t do moral victories but we do hold our head up high knowing we put the state on notice. We have great kids that work their tails off. Love em!

Really can’t explain how proud I am of this guy. Coach Jarrod Gay has worked so hard as the Tates Creek Head Coach. I was fortunate enough to coach him, and now I am blessed to coach WITH him. Nobody works harder. Nobody cares more. Huge program win tonight. CREEK IS BACK!!!

Last Thursday I thought my Dad was going to die from pneumonia and septic shock. Doc gave him 40% chance to live. He also said, “if he had arrived 2 hrs later he would have died.” This afternoon he is HOME and recovering! God is good. Thank u all 4 the prayers! #Blessed #Family

Dad has some infections they are fighting with antibiotics. Doc thinks he will be at UK another 7-10 days and then they hope to move him to a rehab facility or a nursing home w/ rehab options. Long road ahead but we keep trying to stay positive. 💙💪🏽 Appreciate everyone!

36 games, against teams from 11 different states…THOUSANDS of dollars spent…hundreds of miles traveled… several hotel rooms…lots of fast food…millions of whistles… And loved every minute of it! We had a great Spring/Summer AAU Season! Loved coaching these guys.

My wife @meredithbordas is amazing. This has been the longest, hardest week of her life. But when a @TCBasketball_ guy that is a college freshman, playing ball at a school in KY needed some tutoring last night at 9pm, he called HER. And of course she helped -until 11:00! #Family

As a basketball coach in and around Lexington for over 20 years I swear I have given more rides in this city than LexTran!!!! But, I will say, those are some of the best memories I have as a coach. The rides to games… the rides home from WINS! Great memories.

My Dad got to come home today! He’s thrilled to be out of the hospital/rehab facilities and be HOME. He will be doing rehab at home and still has a lot of work to do. We can’t thank everyone enough for the thoughts, prayers, texts, calls etc… 💪🏽💙💪🏽

I thought I was done with High School coaching. Coach Gay brought me out of retirement, and it’s been one of the best years of my career. So blessed to have the chance to help young people on and off the court. Love this team. The players, the staff...they are FAMILY!

From a young age I was obsessed w/ gambling. I used to gamble on any and everything. Gambling started to consume my life. So, 10/5/2014 I stopped...and I haven’t placed a bet since. 6 yrs without placing a bet. Made me a better person, better husband and better dad! 🙏🏼💪🏽

Dad got moved to Mayfair Manor today. It’s a nursing home facility, with some rehab therapy. He has made a little progress, but not a ton. We know it’s a long road. He’s a fighter and I hope he keeps fighting on this road to recovery. Again, appreciate everyone checking on us 💪🏽

So proud of my @GriffinBordas23 team. Won Pool A at the @PHCircuit @PrepHoopsKY @PrepHoops Grind Szn Showcase in Louisville this weekend. We are now 9-0 this AAU season (21pt avg margin victory). These guys represent @GriffinEliteAAU well! (Elijah not in pic- left for vaca lol)

Big Senior is improving every day! It’s a long process but Physical Therapists definitely think he will be able to return home sooner than later. Of course, he is ready to come home NOW. He’s working. The REAL HERO is my Mom @mbbordas . She’s been a Saint- by his side 100% 💙💪🏽

Dad got moved to Mayfair Manor today. It’s a nursing home facility, with some rehab therapy. He has made a little progress, but not a ton. We know it’s a long road. He’s a fighter and I hope he keeps fighting on this road to recovery. Again, appreciate everyone checking on us 💪🏽
