One of the detrimental things I’ve been noticing on Twitter is the praise of individual performances when their team lost. I don’t care how well I played - or how many points I got — when my team lost, none of that mattered. Winning matters. Being a good teammate matters.

When my niece gets run out of the tunnel with the team ... my night was made. Not many know this / but my niece was diagnosed with Noonan’s Syndrome at birth and last week they revealed she’s deaf in her right ear. You would never know. She’s my hero. She’s a star.

AAU basketball gives players a platform and amazing opportunity. High School basketball (in my experience) provides a daily support system and sense of belonging to something bigger than self. Both are important - just wish both were valued.

Incredible team win last night. Great lesson in this stat line from one of our leading scorers/captain last night: 0-6 from field 2/2 FT line 12 rebounds (she’s a 5’8 guard) 5 assists 2 steals Her plus/minus was highest on team at 21. Scoring isn’t everything.

Wish I had before pics - found a storage closet at school that was piled with junk - old equipment. You couldn’t even see the floor. Made it into an office, team storage, film room. Some people’s trash - other people’s treasure.

40 years of marriage. My moms health took a turn within the last year - taking away a lot of her independence. My dad has amazed me. Works all day (44 years as a farmer) Had all her medication organized - puts these on her feet every night for circulation. 🥺
