Congratulations to Bill Self, his staff, the KU players and their fans for a special accomplishment and an NCAA National Championship. Well deserved. Our state is proud of you.
Very impressed with KSU: Skylar, Deuce, the receivers, the defense, Collin and all the coaches but how about that entire offensive line. They were special
Bob Stoops (player and coach) at Iowa, KSU, & OU. All among the best ever at their trade and even better as family men. I’m so very proud of each of them
As I have driven through the Kansas State Univ campus thousands of times these past 3+ decades I have never failed to recognize and appreciate the amazing work that the university grounds crew have done all of these years. Masters of their craft. Thank you one and all for making
On this special day I’m reminded of how much we have to be grateful for each and every day. My deepest gratitude to a wonderful FAMILY, great FRIENDS, a caring COMMUNITY, exceptional FANS, & a special UNIVERSITY. THANK YOU
Thank you LORD for embracing grandson Mathew in a very special way on this very special day (his birthday). A truly special young man who continues to be loved dearly by so many as he sits beside YOU. To know Matt was to love him as do his fellow Angles and his family and friends
And so many were quick to write off the QB and his position coach. I thank those who retained faith in both of them and now cherish their performances. Proud of you and them.
And don’t forget the equipment staff, the training staff, the strength staff and the support staff. Without them the team couldn’t get on the field. They are special.
Lon Kruger: to be inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame. So very proud of Lon and all that he has accomplished in career. Well deserved and long overdue honor. Congratulations to him and his family.
May you and your families share a wonderful Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for. I am so very thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful, caring and loving family. Truly special.
He did as a player. I saw him on Dec 27 and he seemed amazingly upbeat, alert, and mobile. He looked very normal and yet spoke of his expected death within 2 weeks again demonstrating his unique strength and toughness. Please offer up your prayers for the Lord to receive both.
Remarkably sad and emotional: the loss of former KSU standout player Matt Miller and his father Les In the past so days. Both dear friends. Matt has battled cancer and other issues for many years displaying the amazing courage, strength, toughness and competitive spirit (cont’d)
Dr Martin Luther King: Darkness can not drive out darkness, only light can do that; Hate can not drive out hate, only love can do that. Such a meaningful message for each of us to follow.
So very proud of Ayoka Lee (KSU Women’s BB). WBCA All Region Team; COSIDA Academic All American (both 1st team); 2nd team AP and USBWA All American. Great Player, student and person who represents Kansas State in a special way.
Emotional yet heart warming services and burial for miss Joan. Greatly embraced the eulogies by her son Rick and Rev Melanie Nord. Grateful for the ex players and KSU FB support staff who were in attendance. Special to have Sharon, Sean, Whitney and Micah present with love for J.
I hope that everyone continues to keep Joan and her three children (Rick, Nancy & Janet) heavily in your prayers. Joan will never be forgotten by the thousands of players, coaches, staff, family and all who knew her; & many who have not. We will always love her.
And during those 3+ decades I have been in every building on the KSU campus and have never seen any one of them to be in less than immaculate condition. That truly speaks very highly of all the custodial staffs. They also are greatly appreciated.
So very grateful to the veterans and men and women presently in uniform and their families for the immense sacrifices they have made for us. Cannot thank you enough. God Bless each of you.
Just a reminder that our appreciation for the men and women who served and defended our country is ongoing—365 days each and every day. Thank you for serving and God Bless you and the VFW
Greatly appreciate all the gracious, thoughtful, and meaningful texts and messages regarding Ernie and his passing. A special man and a special K~Stater. His contributions to KSU are unmatched and will remain unmatched forever. His devotion to The University will not be (cont)
meaningful prayers to the families of Dick Renfro and Vince Stonestreet. We recently lost these two special men and friends, both with close KSU ties. I’m confident that they are now at the side of our Lord.
Attended the College Football Hall of Fame yearly induction in Las Vegas last month and came away so very proud of 3 new inductees who I had the great fortune of working with. All Americans Andre Tippett of the University of Iowa and Darren Sproles of KSU along with (continued)..
Please keep Ruth Ann Wefald and her family in you prayers. The loss of her husband is painful to so many. Jon Wefald was truly a special president at Kansas State University and a special friend to many as is Ruth Ann. Jon’s Lon tenure at KSU brought a multitude of recognitions
Congratulations to Carl Ice, the Board of Regents, and the selection committee for the swift and successful selection of our new president at Kansas State—Dr Richard Linton (certainly well qualified to lead this great university).
And let’s never forget Veryl Switzer, a gracious, humble, caring and highly talented representative of KSU. Always there to help others and to serve his university and his family. A great player, a special person, and a dear friend.
Greatly appreciate the numerous gracious birthday and Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame cards received. More than I can respond to individually. Greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much
Another painful loss in the Manhattan Kansas and KSU communities. That being the loss of Dick Towers; Another very special, caring, devoted, talented leader in our community and at KSU. Our heartfelt prayers for his wife Wann, their children and grandchildren and family members.
