@mikegalsworthy The maths isn't sound. There was lower turnout in EU elecs. 37% Vs 72% Also need to incl UKIP and half Tory and labour votes. This = 7.6mil votes. Once tallied to account for the voter turnout this ~ 14.8million. So I've done my best to be fair but #brexit still comes up short

It is heartbreaking speaking to patients today about their joint replacements. Clearly the delay and lockdown has had a massive impact on the quality of life and perhaps mental health and wellbeing. At least we are starting to give these patients the surgeries they need.

No going up stepladders, no power tools etc. Orthopaedics concerned people will hurt themselves and we will have to compromise care and it will take resource away from ITU etc.

Some positives from this month of firsts: 1. First Nanoscope in the NHS in Scotland 2. My first MAKO partial knee 3. First Stryker Air+ meniscal repair in Scotland But most importantly my first vaccine dose! 2021 will be meh but we can do this!!

With all the discussion around nurses, paramedics, jnr Dr's etc striking. How much does the NHS spend on agency staff and locums? And if pay and conditions improve meaning more staff in post will there be a cost? Or could decent pay and conditions save money for the NHS?

@richlaing Once texted my boss instead of wife at 23:30. 'Heading home, see you soon, love you xxx' I decided to mention the text the next morning. Apparently his partner had seen the text and wasn't best pleased as my number wasn't saved in his phone.....
